CellPulse reads every individual cell in your EV battery pack using a standard OBD-II adapter and gives you a transparent health score. WHAT YOU SEE - Health score 0–100 with * to ***** rating - Color-coded grid of every cell voltage — spot weak cells instantly - 24 battery temperature sensors - 12V auxiliary battery status - Pack configuration: capacity, chemistry, cell count - SOC spread across cells - Charge and discharge rate limits THE SCORE IS TRANSPARENT Four independent checks — the weakest one determines your overall rating: Cell balance: how tightly matched are the cell voltages? Temperature uniformity: are all cells the same temperature? SOC spread: how far apart are the cell state-of-charge values? Charge rate: is the battery accepting its full rated charge? No averaging that hides a bad result. Every factor is explained in the report. SHAREABLE PDF REPORT Generate a clean PDF with your score, cell chart, temperature map, and vehicle info. Share it when buying or selling a used EV, or keep it as a dated record of your battery condition. BUYING A USED EV? The dealer says "the battery is fine" — CellPulse shows you the actual numbers. Scan before you buy. Share the report with your mechanic. Negotiate with data. PRIVACY FIRST No account required. No location data. Scans run entirely on your iPhone. Optional anonymous telemetry shares only cell balance statistics. Your VIN is never sent — only a one-way hash used to prevent duplicate submissions. WORKS WITH VW ID.3 · ID.4 · ID.5 · ID. Buzz Audi Q4 e-tron · Q4 Sportback e-tron Škoda Enyaq iV · Enyaq Coupé iV CUPRA Born (All MEB-platform vehicles) REQUIREMENTS - iPhone, iOS 17 or later - BLE OBD-II adapter (Bluetooth Low Energy — not Classic Bluetooth or WiFi) - Car in Ready mode during scan Tested adapters: vLinker MC+, OBDLink CX, VEEPEAK BLE+. Most ELM327 BLE adapters work. The adapter plugs into the OBD-II port under your dashboard. A full scan takes under 60 seconds.
OBD2+

OBD2 Plus is a vehicle diagnostic app for iPhone that connects to a compatible Wi-Fi OBD2 / ELM327 adapter. IMPORTANT: A compatible Wi-Fi OBD2 adapter is required to obtain vehicle data. The adapter is not included with the app and must be purchased separately. Connect the OBD2 adapter to your vehicle's OBD2 port, then connect your iPhone to the adapter's Wi-Fi network. Main Features • Real-time vehicle speed • Engine RPM • Coolant temperature • Engine load • Intake air temperature • Intake manifold pressure • MAF air flow • Throttle position • Fuel level • Vehicle voltage • Hybrid-related data on supported vehicles • VIN reading • Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) reading • DTC clearing • Real-time CAN communication monitoring • CAN ID filtering • RAW CAN data and bit-level display • Manual OBD2 command transmission • Advanced CAN frame transmission • Communication log saving and sharing • Driving location display using iPhone location services Compatible Hardware OBD2 Plus is designed for Wi-Fi-enabled OBD2 adapters, including compatible ELM327-based devices. Requirements: • iPhone • Wi-Fi-enabled OBD2 / ELM327-compatible adapter • Vehicle equipped with a compatible OBD2 port Bluetooth-only OBD2 adapters are not supported. Compatibility and available data may vary depending on the vehicle model, model year, ECU, vehicle specifications, and OBD2 adapter. Location Services If location access is permitted, OBD2 Plus can use the iPhone's location information to display the current or recorded driving position on a map. Location access is optional. OBD2 diagnostic features that do not require location information can still be used without location permission. Privacy Vehicle data, VIN, DTCs, CAN data, OBD2 communication data, and location information are generally processed locally on the user's iPhone. OBD2 Plus does not transmit this vehicle information or location information to external servers managed by the developer. The app does not require user registration or login. Safety Use OBD2 Plus only when the vehicle is safely stopped. Do not operate the app or your iPhone while driving. Clearing DTCs does not repair the underlying cause of a vehicle fault. If the cause remains unresolved, the diagnostic trouble code or warning light may return. CAN transmission features are intended for users who understand vehicle communication. Sending incorrect CAN frames may cause unexpected vehicle ECU behavior. After use, disconnect the OBD2 adapter from the vehicle if appropriate to avoid unnecessary auxiliary battery drain.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: OBD2+ at none against CellPulse's 3. On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CellPulse sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. OBD2+ asks for nothing beyond the download.
