Gringo teaches Brazilian Portuguese the way you'll actually hear it: in short clips from real Brazilian creators, with every word aligned to the sound. Scroll a feed of clips. When a word gets past you, tap it. Gringo shows what it means, how it's said — "tô" for "estou", "pra" for "para" — and keeps it for you. Come back and review your words on a schedule that brings each one back right before you'd forget it. WHAT YOU GET • A feed of short clips, ten to fifteen seconds each, from YouTube creators across Brazil — vlogs, kitchens, podcasts, street interviews. • Word-by-word subtitles that light up as the clip plays, with the spoken form and the written form side by side. • Tap a word for its meaning, its pronunciation, and other clips where it shows up. • Your own word list, sorted the way you want, with a review session built from it — ten cards, five minutes. • A foundation deck of the sounds of Brazilian Portuguese, the ones textbooks skip: the "r" of Rio, the "de" that sounds like "dji", the nasal vowels. • Clips picked for your level and your interests, from the questions you answer on your first day. NO TEXTBOOK PORTUGUESE Gringo doesn't teach you sentences nobody says. Every clip is native speech, as spoken, with the contractions and the slang kept in — because that's what you'll hear on the street, in a podcast, or at a Brazilian dinner table. BUILT FOR ENGLISH SPEAKERS Translations, explanations and the interface are in English. Whether you're moving to Brazil, dating a Brazilian, or just in love with the language, Gringo meets you where you are. SUBSCRIPTION Gringo is free to download. Full access to the clips and reviews requires a subscription: annual with a 7-day free trial, or monthly. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings.
