VimNotes brings real modal editing to your pocket. If you live in vim on the desktop, you finally have a notes app that thinks the way your fingers do. Tap `i` to insert. Esc to go back to NORMAL. Compose with the motions and operators you already know โ€” no relearning, no compromise. WHY VIMNOTES โ€ข Real modal editing โ€” NORMAL, INSERT, VISUAL, and COMMAND modes, not a toolbar wearing a vim costume. โ€ข Motions you know โ€” h j k l, w b e, 0 $, gg G, plus counts (3w, 5j, d2w). โ€ข Operators that compose โ€” d, y, c with any motion. dd, yy, cc shortcuts. Visual-mode operations. โ€ข Undo and redo โ€” deep history (up to 100 steps) so experiments are always reversible. โ€ข Registers โ€” yank and paste with the unnamed register. โ€ข Ex commands โ€” :w, :q, :wq and friends from a familiar command line. โ€ข Built for thumbs โ€” a custom on-screen key row keeps Esc, :, and motions one tap away. PRIVACY-FIRST BY DESIGN โ€ข 100% offline. No accounts. No sign-up. No cloud. โ€ข No analytics. No tracking. No third-party SDKs phoning home. โ€ข Your notes live in a local SQLite database on your device and nowhere else. โ€ข No network permission requested โ€” the app physically cannot exfiltrate your data. BUILT FOR WRITERS WHO CODE VimNotes is the daily driver for engineers, technical writers, students, and anyone who already touch-types in a modal editor. Capture meeting notes, draft commit messages, sketch designs in markdown, keep a journal โ€” without ever leaving the keystroke vocabulary you already mastered. FEATURES โ€ข Modal editor: NORMAL / INSERT / VISUAL / COMMAND โ€ข Motions: h j k l w b e 0 $ gg G with count prefixes โ€ข Operators: d y c (delete, yank, change) over motions and visual selections โ€ข Line shortcuts: dd, yy, cc, D, C โ€ข Undo / redo with a 100-step history โ€ข Ex commands: :w :q :wq :q! โ€ข Local SQLite storage โ€” fast, durable, private โ€ข Light and dark interface โ€ข Dynamic Type and VoiceOver support โ€ข iPhone, all screen sizes NO STRINGS VimNotes is free of ads, trackers, telemetry, and subscriptions. One app, one purpose: let you write the way you already think. If you have feedback or run into trouble, visit https://moruk.ai/support โ€” we read every message.

About

DwellLog

Features

Walk the property. Record what you can see, then seal it before it drifts. DwellLog turns a home walkthrough into a dated, tamper-evident record. Pick an area. Name the component and a location you can return to. Write what is directly observable, rate the condition, and seal the entry. Each seal is a SHA-256 digest, so a later reader can tell whether a record or its photo changed after you saved it. Work the eight survey areas: site and drainage, exterior envelope, structure, water and plumbing, electrical, climate and mechanical, interior, and life safety. Add a measurement when you have one. Note the weather, the viewing position, and anything you could not reach. Revisit the same location next season. DwellLog keeps the original and files your update as a superseding record instead of overwriting it, then shows what is new, improved, or worse. Open a case when something needs action. State the risk in a sentence, set a next step, give it a target date, and link the evidence. Close it with a dated event, never a silent edit. Log the furnace and water heater. Photograph the serial plate. Record brands, models, warranty dates, and cost. Add recurring maintenance from the catalog, log each service with its provider and price, and read the annual cost report. Share a readable evidence packet and a machine-readable manifest of record and photo digests with a buyer, tenant, contractor, or your own files. Export runs only after every seal and supersession link passes. DwellLog is a recordkeeping tool, not an inspection. It does not diagnose defects, determine cause, or certify compliance. Keep every record yours: no account, no server sync, no third-party analytics.
