Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: FileBox at 100% against TimePulse's 33%. FileBox also leads on price (Free vs $0.99) and rating (5.0 vs 3.0). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
FileBox is free to download; TimePulse costs $0.99 up front. TimePulse sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and FileBox sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
FileBox holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FileBox has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of TimePulse's written reviews are positive against 100% of FileBox's.
TimePulse ships an update every 10 days, FileBox every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 21, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
