CoreParent is the court-ready co-parenting app for separated and divorced families. See who has the kids today, what's coming up, and what needs you, all on one home screen. Then just ask Companion™, the assistant built into CoreParent, anything about your schedule, plan, or records. Build a complete parenting plan, calculate child support, and keep your shared calendar, expenses, and messages organized and documented, all in one place, in English or Spanish. WORKS SOLO OR TOGETHER Every tool works with or without your co-parent on the app. Build your plan, keep your records, and stay court-ready on your own, and connect your co-parent whenever they're ready. Most of us land here in the hardest year of our lives, staring at paperwork that costs five figures in attorney time. CoreParent gives you the tools to get organized and ready to file, then review with your attorney, for a fraction of the cost. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Build a court-ready parenting plan step by step, covering the sections family courts expect, or import an existing plan or court order and we will rebuild it for you. - Calculate child support using your state's guidelines, all 50 states. - Share a custody calendar with holiday and vacation scheduling. - Snap a photo of any flyer, schedule, or PDF and let Companion turn it into calendar events and expenses, no retyping. - Track and settle shared child expenses; payments go directly between parents. - Message your co-parent with a built-in tone check that helps keep things civil. - Keep a private journal and a secure vault for the documents that matter. - Check in at handoffs with a time and location stamp, and log a missed exchange in one tap. - Import past custody from your iPhone calendar, up to 10 years back. - Send PDFs and documents from your vault right in Messages. - Face ID lock, quick exit, and a discreet lock screen. - Connect with a family-law attorney when you need one. MEET COMPANION Ask in plain words, by typing, by voice, or with "Hey Siri, ask CoreParent": - "Who has the kids on Thanksgiving?" - "Can I take the kids to Florida July 3 to 12?" Companion checks it against your plan. - "Find the insurance card," then share it in one tap. - "Message my attorney about this," and get a draft to review. Answers come from your own records, with one-tap cards to call, share, add to your calendar, or log an expense. When there are a few ways forward, just tap the one you want. Companion also watches for the things that trip co-parents up and drafts the next step for you to approve: a kinder rewrite before you send, a text turned into a logged request, or the document you need before an appointment. You are always in control; Companion never sends anything on its own. IN YOUR LANGUAGE The entire app, and the court-ready plan you export, works in English and Spanish. PLANS AND PRICING Build your plan for free. Go Solo to export and unlock everything, with or without a connected co-parent: $39 every 3 months, or $129 per year. Documented is a private record of how you show up for your kids. Log what happened (a handoff, a missed exchange, a first sentence, a doctor's visit) and it is sealed the second you save it. Time captured automatically. Place attached if you want it. Nothing you can quietly rewrite later, which is exactly what makes it worth something. WHY SEALED MATTERS A note you typed months after the fact is a memory. A record made at the time is a different thing. Every entry gets a SHA-256 fingerprint linked to the entry before it. Change one character and the chain no longer matches, and the app tells you. Edits can't be hidden. That's what tamper-evident means. Separately, each entry's fingerprint is sent to an independent Time-Stamping Authority, which signs a statement that it existed at that moment. The stamp is requested the moment the entry seals, and if your phone is offline it's obtained as soon as you reconnect. Only the fingerprint leaves your phone, never your words, your photos, your children's names, or where you were. A fingerprint can't be turned back into your content. BUILT FOR HOW THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENS Thirty seconds, one-handed, in a car park, before you forget. Write it, tag it, seal it. • Log notes, photos, videos, voice memos, receipts, and message screenshots • Tag which child, and which co-parent, each moment involved • Automatic timestamp and optional GPS, captured rather than typed • Corrections are amendments: the original stays, the correction sits beside it • Search and filter by child, category, or date PRIVATE BY DEFAULT No account. No sign-up. No password. Documented opens straight into your record. Your entries stay on your iPhone, and in your own iCloud storage if you turn sync on. We can't read them. Your co-parent is never contacted, never notified, and never given access. Naming someone in your record is a label on your record, nothing more. WHAT IT COSTS Documented is a subscription, with a 7-day free trial. The subscription is the app, not an add-on to it. Included, with no limits of any kind: writing new entries, sealing them, the independent timestamp, photos, videos, voice memos and receipts, iCloud sync of your own record, search, filtering, amendments, the PDF export, and encrypted sharing with your attorney. No entry limit. No attachment limit. No storage tier. Free, whether you subscribe or not: reading, searching and verifying everything already in your record. Nothing you have sealed is ever locked away from you, and if a trial ends without a purchase the record becomes read-only rather than closed. People who installed Documented before this change keep their original free terms permanently. WHEN YOU NEED TO PRODUCE IT Your whole record becomes one PDF, ready to hand to your attorney: every entry in order, with its seal, an integrity statement, and your attachments. Any single entry can go on its own. You can send that record to your attorney encrypted on your device, to a key only they hold. A NOTE ON WHAT THIS IS Documented is a record-keeping tool. We're not a law firm and we don't give legal advice. Whether any record is accepted is decided by a judge under the rules of evidence where you live. What we can do is make sure that when you wrote something down, it's provable that you wrote it down then, and that nobody, including you, quietly changed it since. If something is on the line, talk to a licensed attorney in your state. Privacy Policy: https://documented.co/privacy-policy Terms of Use: https://documented.co/terms

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: CoreParent at none against Documented's shown. CoreParent also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Documented's advantage is ratings volume (201 vs 2) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. CoreParent sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Documented sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
CoreParent holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Documented has 201 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
CoreParent ships an update every 2 weeks, Documented every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
