About

TxtEdit

Features

TxtEdit is a clean, lightweight text editor for iPhone and iPad. Instead of a custom file manager, it uses the same native browser as the Files app, so you can open and edit plain text (.txt) files in iCloud Drive, on your device, or on external storage — right where they are. Whether you're jotting down ideas, editing code snippets or config files, or drafting stories, TxtEdit keeps out of your way. KEY FEATURES • Seamless Files App Integration Open files in place and have your changes saved automatically. Nothing is copied into a separate library. • Automatic Encoding Detection Besides UTF-8, TxtEdit opens Shift_JIS, EUC-JP, ISO-2022-JP, and UTF-16 files without garbled text. When saving, it keeps the original encoding and line endings (CRLF / LF), so files made on Windows stay compatible. • Make It Yours - Font size from 10pt to 40pt - Font styles: Default, Monospaced, Serif, and Rounded - Themes: System, Light, Dark, Sepia, and Slate • Live Document Statistics Character, word, and line counts are always shown at the bottom of the screen. • Handy Editing Tools - Find and replace - Undo, Redo, and Clear All buttons above the keyboard • Private by Design TxtEdit collects no data and never connects to the internet. Your text is stored only where you choose.
