MathBlocker puts a math problem between you and the apps you open too much. You pick the apps you want blocked. When you try to open one after your time's up, a math question shows up instead. You answer it, you get a few minutes back. You don't, the app stays closed. The questions are real. They come from the same problem sets people use to study for the SAT, ACT, AMC, and AIME. You can set the difficulty. Easy questions if you just want a speed bump. Harder ones if you actually want to stop scrolling. Features - Block any app or category — social, video, games, news, browsers - Pick your difficulty, from warmup arithmetic to competition-level - Choose your problem set: SAT, ACT, AMC, AIME, Putnam, or general practice - Earn time back per problem solved (you set how much) - Daily, weekly, and per-app limits - Schedule blocks by time of day (bedtime, study hours, work hours) - Dashboard with usage broken down by app, hour, and day - Custom block screen so it actually feels like a stop sign - Works with Family Sharing if you're setting it up for someone younger A few ways people use it: blocking social apps during work hours. Locking everything after 10pm with hard math. Pairing it with actual SAT prep so the time you would've spent scrolling becomes practice instead. Everything stays on your phone. No account, no login, no data sent anywhere. iOS 16 and up. iPhone only.

About

SnapOut

Snap Out is intentional digital boundaries — a simple, elegant way to break the autopilot habit of opening apps like Instagram, TikTok, and X without thinking. HOW IT WORKS Choose the apps that pull you in most and put them behind a Shield. When you try to open a shielded app, Snap Out asks you to solve a quick math problem first. That few seconds of friction is enough to interrupt the mindless reflex and put you back in control — backed by research showing even brief cognitive friction dramatically cuts impulsive app opening. Still want in? Set a timer for how long you actually want to use the app. When it runs out, Snap Out locks it again automatically, so one "quick check" doesn't turn into an hour of scrolling. WHY MATH, NOT WILLPOWER Mindless scrolling is an unconscious reflex — willpower alone rarely beats it in the moment. A few seconds of active thinking, like solving 308 + 849, is enough to break the reflex and let you make a real decision about whether you want to open that app right now. FEATURES • Shield any app or group of apps from impulsive opening • Math-based unlock challenge that adapts in difficulty • Custom timers so you decide how long you actually get • Track your Snapouts and total time saved • Clean, distraction-free dark and light themes • Built for people who want to use their phone with intention, not habit Snap Out doesn't block apps forever — it just adds a moment of intention before you open them. Most people are surprised how often that's all it takes to put the phone down. Download Snap Out and start reclaiming your time, one snap at a time.
