MathBlocker puts a math problem between you and the apps you open too much. You pick the apps you want blocked. When you try to open one after your time's up, a math question shows up instead. You answer it, you get a few minutes back. You don't, the app stays closed. The questions are real. They come from the same problem sets people use to study for the SAT, ACT, AMC, and AIME. You can set the difficulty. Easy questions if you just want a speed bump. Harder ones if you actually want to stop scrolling. Features - Block any app or category — social, video, games, news, browsers - Pick your difficulty, from warmup arithmetic to competition-level - Choose your problem set: SAT, ACT, AMC, AIME, Putnam, or general practice - Earn time back per problem solved (you set how much) - Daily, weekly, and per-app limits - Schedule blocks by time of day (bedtime, study hours, work hours) - Dashboard with usage broken down by app, hour, and day - Custom block screen so it actually feels like a stop sign - Works with Family Sharing if you're setting it up for someone younger A few ways people use it: blocking social apps during work hours. Locking everything after 10pm with hard math. Pairing it with actual SAT prep so the time you would've spent scrolling becomes practice instead. Everything stays on your phone. No account, no login, no data sent anywhere. iOS 16 and up. iPhone only.

About

MindLock

Features

Turn mindless scrolling into a moment of thinking. MindLock puts a short quiz or word game between you and your most distracting apps. Get it right and they open. Get it wrong and they stay locked for a 10-minute cooldown. No willpower needed, just a few seconds of real thought before the feed. HOW IT WORKS 1. Choose the apps and websites that eat your day. 2. Open one and the lock screen stops you. Tap it to start a challenge. 3. Pass, and your apps open for as long as you set, from 30 minutes to 3 hours. 4. Time's up? They lock again on their own. A countdown on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island shows how long you have left. PICK YOUR CHALLENGE • Quiz: quick rounds on up to 5 themes, like Math, Logic, Geography, History, Animals, Movies and People. • Spelling Bee: hear a word, then type it letter by letter. Exact spelling only. • Word Collapse: start with a long word and remove letters to make a shorter real word, again and again. Hit a dead end and you're locked out. • Random: a surprise every time. Mixed themes, spelling words or a Word Collapse puzzle. SET THE FRICTION Five levels, from Easy to Perfect Run. Easy asks for 3 correct answers out of 5, with hints. Perfect Run asks for 15 out of 15, with 10 seconds per question and no second chances. SHORTCUTS HAVE A PRICE Really need an app right now? Use an emergency unlock straight from the lock screen. You get a few a day, and each one adds an extra question to your next quiz. WATCH THE HABIT CHANGE • Streaks, passes and correct answers at a glance • Damage to Big Tech: the ad money your skipped scrolls never made • Home Screen widget with your reps and streak PRIVATE BY DESIGN MindLock is built on Apple's Screen Time. We never see which apps you open or for how long. Notifications are only for quizzes and unlocks. No marketing, ever. FREE TO START Create as many locks as you like, with Math and Logic quizzes on Easy, Medium and Hard. MINDLOCK PRO • Extreme and Perfect Run difficulties • Every quiz theme beyond Math and Logic • Spelling Bee, Word Collapse and Random • Advanced metrics: knowledge level, accuracy, strongest themes, recent games and a Screen Time report with the apps to lock next Pro is available as a monthly or annual subscription.
