I Ching Oracle vs Hexora

An old mirror for the modern mind. Synch rebuilds the 3,000-year-old Book of Changes — the I Ching — as a quiet, careful ritual on your phone. Toss three coins six times and it offers you one of 64 hexagrams; you hold it up to yourself as a mirror. Carl Jung called it synchronicity: the meaningful coincidence you start to notice the moment you slow down. The app takes its name from there. THE RITUAL Three coins. Six tosses. One hexagram. The app skips no step and never rushes you. Slowness is the product itself. A DEEP READING, IN YOUR OWN LANGUAGE Every hexagram has two layers. The fixed reading — the centuries-old commentary on the classic text, always the same, always there. The deep reading — a text written for you alone, where Synch reads your hexagram, the changing lines that emerged, and the question you brought, together. Turkish, English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese and Japanese. And when the reading ends, if one more question rises in you, you can ask it; the text continues with you, in the same voice, from where it left off. THE WHOLE BOOK All 64 hexagrams, with the classic text. Read by name, by number, by trigram. The encyclopedia was made not only to look something up, but to read again and again. THE ARCHIVE Every reading is kept. The question, the hexagram, the changing lines, the moment. Three months later you can return and see what you asked and what has changed. The archive is permanent, and yours alone. EDITORIAL DESIGN Cream and gold, or black and gold. Respect for white space. Serif typography. Light, dark, or system theme. Plain typography and room to breathe, instead of mystical decoration. Designed like a book. INSTAGRAM STORY SHARING A single hexagram, set in Synch's typography, ready as an Instagram Story sticker with one tap. For those moments when a hexagram says exactly what you needed to hear. A premium price funds the deep-reading engine, the permanent archive, and a design we can keep working on for years. Synch isn't free, because something made with care needs support to last. LANGUAGES Turkish. English. French. Spanish. German. Italian. Portuguese. Japanese. Deep readings never smell of translation — each is written natively for its language. WHO IT'S FOR For those who keep a journal. For those who read Jung. For those who want a tool for thinking, not an answer machine. For those who believe a question worth asking deserves a minute of silence. A mirror, not an answer machine. — Privacy: Your questions and readings are stored on your device. Only the hexagram and your question are sent to the deep-reading engine; who you are is never sent. Hexora is a decision journal built on the I Ching. Ask a real question, cast three coins, draw one of the 64 hexagrams of the Book of Changes — then write down what you were actually thinking, and come back weeks later to see how the decision played out. No tarot, no zodiac, no horoscopes. A JOURNAL FIRST Most oracle apps hand you a reading and forget it. Hexora keeps every reading in a private journal on your iPhone: add notes, tag your mood, add your own tags, and search the whole archive later by question, note, tag, mood, or hexagram number. The archive is the point — over months it becomes a record of how you were really thinking at the time, not how you remember it. YOUR OWN PATTERNS, MEASURED The Patterns view reads your journal back to you: a monthly recap, the hexagrams you draw most, the balance of trigrams across your readings, how your moods map onto what you cast, and how often changing lines appear. All computed on device from your own entries — no profiles, no predictions about your future. TAKE YOUR JOURNAL WITH YOU Export the whole journal — questions, readings, notes, moods, tags and follow-ups — as Markdown, straight into Files, Notes, or anywhere else you keep your writing. Your journal is yours; there is no lock-in. THE CLASSICAL TEXT, AND A READING OF YOUR QUESTION Every hexagram carries its judgment, image and changing-line texts, paraphrased from James Legge's 1882 public-domain translation — the most respected scholarly source for the i ching in English. Alongside that text, an AI layer takes your question, the hexagram you drew, its changing lines and the hexagram it transforms into, and writes a calm, modern reflection. The classical text and the reflection stay clearly separate, so you always know which is which. THE FULL LIBRARY OF 64 HEXAGRAMS Browse all 64 hexagrams with their trigrams, judgment, image and line texts — whether or not you have drawn them yet. A reference you can read straight through, not only when the coins land on it. NO ACCOUNT, NO CLOUD, NO TRACKING No login screen. No email, no password, no social sign-in. Your readings, notes and moods never leave your iPhone. An anonymous device identifier handles subscriptions — that's it. Privacy isn't a setting here; it's the architecture.
