Why Mixer exists The problem I realized I have a lot of friends I just never make plans with. Not because I don’t want to — but because: they’re not in a group chat I don’t think to text them or it just feels like effort to reach out And I don’t think I’m the only one. Making plans right now kind of sucks: You only hang out with the same people in the same group chats One person replies in a group chat of 15 You don’t know who to invite You don’t want to invite too many people You wait around for replies Plans die in the chat No one wants to be the one organizing You overthink it and end up doing nothing Real situations this fixes Something spontaneous You want to go to the golf range after work. You’re not going to text 20 people just to find 1–2 who are down. So you either don’t go, or go alone. Now you just post it — whoever’s in joins. Mixing different groups You have friends from different parts of your life that would get along. But they’re not in the same group chat, so it never happens. This lets you bring them together without overthinking it. Group chat guessing You throw something in a group chat. A few people respond, most don’t, and you’re left guessing who’s actually in. Now you can just see. People you don’t think to text There are people you’d hang out with — you just don’t think to text them. So you end up seeing the same few people over and over. The idea Make plans as easily as posting something simple. Post a plan Invite who you want (or keep it open) People join if they’re in You see who’s actually going No back and forth. No guessing. The goal Make it easier to: make plans more often include more people mix different friend groups actually follow through The bigger picture After college, it’s way easier for your social life to shrink without realizing it. This is just a small way to push in the other direction. Hope you try and enjoy.

LocShare helps you meet new people and get together with friends in real life. It starts with the people you're already one connection away from, so every new face comes with a mutual friend. DOWN FOR Got a free night and nothing planned? Send a ping. Coffee, a run, drinks, last-minute plans: tell your people what you're down for and see who's in. No group chat spiral, no "who's still free?" texts. Just a quick way to turn "we should hang out" into an actual plan. FRIENDS OF FRIENDS Meet people through the people you already know. LocShare shows you friends of your friends, the people one step outside your circle, so you're never starting from zero. It isn't a feed of strangers or a swipe queue. It's your network, extended. FIND SOMETHING TO DO Bored, new in town, or out of ideas? Find something to do near you in a few taps, then bring people along. Pick a spot, send the invite, and see who's up for it. No more "I don't know, what do you want to do?" Your next plan is one tap away. MESSAGE YOUR PEOPLE Text friends and small groups right from the map. No separate app needed to figure out where everyone's headed. BEEN HERE, TERRITORY & SCAVENGER Optional extras for groups who want more: see which friends have been to the same spots, compete for "ownership" of your regular hangouts, and complete weekly challenges built from your own activity. Each one is a separate opt-in and off by default. Nothing is shared with friends until you turn it on. GO LIVE Out for a night, on a trip, or just hanging out? Go Live for a set amount of time with a specific group so they can find you, without turning on always-on sharing. No public profiles and no ads. You decide who sees where you are, and for how long. Your data is yours. Delete your account and everything tied to it, any time, right from the app.
