Most app blockers give you a toggle. Tap it, and you're back in your feed in two seconds. Tolls doesn't work that way. HOW IT WORKS Coins build up while you stay off your phone. To unlock a blocked app, you spend a coin and scan a real object around you, something you actually have to get up and find. Then you choose how long you want in. That same amount of time becomes your cooldown afterward, so there's no binging your way straight back in. TWO WAYS TO UNLOCK Toll Booth: spend 1 coin, scan 1 item in 30 seconds, unlock 1 app for up to 15 minutes. Open Hour: spend 3 coins, scan 3 items in 30 seconds, unlock everything for a full hour. Coins regenerate passively while your apps stay blocked, up to a maximum of 3 at a time. There's no way to buy more, and no way to skip the scan. BUILT-IN ACCOUNTABILITY Track your daily streak, compare your focus hours and restraint on weekly leaderboards, and get a check-in from Chip, your beaver mascot, along the way. Blocking is powered by Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls framework, the same system-level technology built into iOS. Tolls is a Pro-only app. There's no free tier and no ads, just one focused tool with real friction built in. Try it free for 5 days with a referral code, or subscribe today.
MorgenKlar

Messages about your kids come from ten different places. MorgenKlar gathers them in one place β and tells you the evening before what's happening and what goes in the bag. SHARE WHAT YOU GET Take a screenshot of the message from school, after-school care, the club or another parent β or share the message directly if the app allows it. Tap Share and choose MorgenKlar. A screenshot, a PDF or just the text. ONE MESSAGE, SEVERAL CARDS A week plan can hold something to bring, a sign-up and homework. MorgenKlar splits it up so each thing lands on the right child and the right day. The color is the child, the icon is the type: appointment, bring or to do. The message's own words stay with the card. WHEN WE'RE NOT SURE, WE ASK Clear information goes straight into the plan. If we're unsure about the child or the date, we ask one question β with buttons β and the card waits in the Inbox. Payments always need your approval. If the school and the class group write about the same trip, it becomes one card. THE EVENING BEFORE At 7 pm you get one notification about tomorrow: appointments, things to bring and to-dos β per child. Tick things off until it says you're ready for tomorrow. On Sunday evening you get the week ahead, and deadlines are flagged as many days ahead as you choose. If there's nothing tomorrow, we say nothing. THE WEEK AT A GLANCE Each child has their own color and row. Search for a word from the message, and filter to one child or one type. Regular activities like swimming and handball appear on their own β even when a message moves a single practice. SHARE WITH THE OTHER ADULTS Invite the other parent, a step-parent or a grandparent to see a child's appointments, things to bring and to-dos β they pay nothing. You decide whether they can edit or only view. You can each pack from your own phone. HOW WE HANDLE YOUR DATA There is no separate MorgenKlar account β the app uses your iCloud. Children and cards are stored on your phone and in your iCloud; our server doesn't store messages or cards. Shared files are read by AI at Anthropic, and only after you've said yes. The image stays on your phone (not in iCloud) and is deleted 7 days after it's read, or after the time you choose. SUBSCRIPTION The first 14 days are free. After that, One year or Month to month β only one person in the family pays. The subscription unlocks reading of shared files; everything you add yourself works without it. It renews automatically until you cancel at least 24 hours before in Settings β Apple Account β Subscriptions. Terms: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ LANGUAGES MorgenKlar is available in English, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, German, Spanish, French and Italian.

Verdict
Tolls and MorgenKlar are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters β price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them β neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
