AlphaProbe (developed by Obipixel Ltd | Obisec) is a professional network utility for iPhone and iPad. Map the LANs you are allowed to test, home labs, small offices, or any network where you have permission, and keep a clear record of what you found. Disclaimer: Only use AlphaProbe on authorised systems/network you have permission for. By using AlphaProbe you agree to use it lawfully and at your own risk; the app is provided as a diagnostic aid, not a guarantee of security or completeness. Requirements: iOS 17 or later. Local network access is required for discovery and most LAN features. Optimised for iPhone and iPad. SCAN β€’ See active network interfaces and usable address ranges on your device. β€’ Discover live hosts across your subnets with fast TCP reachability checks. β€’ Scan open ports on discovered hosts using outbound TCP connections and timed UDP probes. β€’ Enrich results with UPnP (SSDP) friendly names and reverse DNS when the network responds. β€’ On-device hints help interpret roles and platforms with confidence-style labelsβ€”they are heuristics, not proof of a specific product or service (for example, open ports 80/443 do not identify Tor or other software by themselves). β€’ In-app Info explains how discovery works, why UDP results can differ between runs, and why retries often find more hosts. RESULTS β€’ When a scan completes, save a snapshot of hosts and open ports on your device. β€’ Snapshots can include integrity fingerprints (MD5/SHA-256) for supported formats so you keep a fixed record of what was stored at save time. β€’ Copy or share formatted exports; verify fingerprints against the canonical payload where the app supports it. β€’ Delete individual snapshots when you no longer need them; clearing live scan data removes current discovery results from local storage as described in the app. TOOLS All tools are manual, you start each check. Use them only on hosts and networks you own or are explicitly authorised to test. β€’ DNS lookup (addresses): Resolve hostnames to IPv4 (A) and IPv6 (AAAA) using the system DNS resolver, shown in separate lists. CNAME chains are followed by the system. β€’ DNS lookup (MX, NS, SOA): A separate action uses DNS over HTTPS to Google Public DNS (dns.google). This is not the same as your device's system resolver or VPN DNS, so results may differ. Each answer shows TTL and record data. β€’ Reverse DNS: Look up PTR style names for numeric IPv4 or IPv6 addresses. β€’ TCP port check: Measure how long until a TCP connection becomes ready using Apple's Network framework, not ICMP ping. β€’ HTTP(S) check: Send a GET with URLSession; see status, redirects, response size, and timing. Cleartext HTTP to LAN devices may work when the system allows local networking; use HTTPS for public sites. β€’ TCP reachability: Same TCP timing idea, framed for a quick "is something answering?" probe (try 443 or 80). REFERENCE β€’ Port encyclopedia for quick context on common ports and services. ACCESS β€’ Sign in with Apple to use the app's access model. β€’ Complimentary trial for eligible new users, then a one-time in-app purchase to unlock ongoing use (pricing and terms are shown in the app). IMPORTANT Unauthorised scanning or probing may be illegal or against network policy. You are responsible for using AlphaProbe only where you have permission and for complying with applicable laws and rules.

SmartScan β€” Mobile Spyware Detection State-level spyware detection is the starting point of SmartScan: a forensic-grade mobile network analysis platform developed by Secure Path Ltd, a UK-based cybersecurity company specialising in mobile device forensics and threat intelligence. Designed to identify indicators associated with Pegasus, Predator, Graphite, advanced spyware, stalkerware, and surveillance implants, SmartScan helps professionals assess the integrity of mobile devices through automated network forensic analysis. THE SAME METHODOLOGY USED BY CITIZEN LAB AND AMNESTY TECH β€” NOW IN YOUR POCKET Spyware does not announce itself. SmartScan captures and analyzes your device’s network traffic to detect suspicious communications, surveillance implants, stalkerware, and covert command-and-control activity β€” applying advanced mobile threat investigation techniques without requiring technical expertise. SECURITY & PRIVACY FIRST SmartScan is designed with a security-first architecture to protect sensitive network data during analysis. Mutual TLS: bidirectional client/server authentication TLS 1.3 enforced: no downgrade permitted Certificate pinning WireGuard VPN encryption No data stored on the device No traffic logged or stored beyond the analysis session No telemetry, no analytics This app uses VPN functionality to route network traffic through secure analysis servers. Network traffic is processed only for the purpose of the analysis session. WHO USES SMARTSCAN SmartScan is designed for journalists under surveillance risk, human rights defenders, legal professionals, corporate security teams, high-risk individuals, digital forensics consultants, and anyone who needs to verify the integrity of a mobile device. STEALTH MODE β€” PARANOID SCAN Pre-configure a scan that triggers silently when your device connects to a Wi-Fi network. No interaction required. Designed for situations where device integrity cannot be assumed, or where you suspect tampering, monitoring, or exposure to a hostile network environment. FORENSIC REPORT Every scan produces a structured PDF report including: Risk classification: Critical / High / Moderate / Low Per-alert MITRE ATT&CK technique mapping Full connection timeline with anomaly flagging Suspicious communication analysis Forensic assessment narrative Reports are structured to support legal review, incident response activities, internal investigations, and law enforcement submissions. 20-ENGINE ANALYSIS PIPELINE Your traffic is routed through a hardened mTLS/WireGuard tunnel and processed by 20 professional detection engines across four analytical layers: Protocol & Certificate Analysis SSL/TLS Deep Inspection JA3 & JA3S Client/Server Fingerprinting QUIC Protocol Analysis DNS-Less Connection Detection Certificate Risk Scoring Behavioral & Temporal Intelligence Behavioral Analysis Temporal Pattern Analysis Beacon Cluster Detection Protocol Anomaly Analysis Application Correlation Threat Intelligence & Geolocation Suricata/Snort IDS Signatures MITRE ATT&CK for Mobile Geolocation Risk Analysis DNS Failover Tracking File Correlation Analysis Advanced Forensic Layer Advanced Heuristic Analysis Deep Forensic Analysis Cross-Engine Correlation Senior Forensic Synthesis SUBSCRIPTIONS Credit packs are available for 1, 3, 5, or 10 scans, along with unlimited monthly and annual subscriptions. Verdict

The call

AlphaProbe and SmartScanForensic are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters β€” price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them β€” neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
