Find the imposter among you. Imposter is a fast, face-to-face party game for groups of 3 to 100 players. One phone, one table, zero setup drama: add names, choose word categories, and you’re in. How it works Pick your topics — select one or more categories to shape each round. Pass the device — each player sees their role in turn. Most players see the secret word; the imposter only gets a hint (when hints are on). Discuss — take turns giving a single word or a very short clue that fits the word without naming it. The imposter has to blend in. Vote — when time’s up, vote for who you think is lying. Reveal — see the word, the imposter, and who won the round. Perfect for game nights, trips, and any group that likes bluffing, deduction, and loud debates. Optional house rules (like the imposter winning by guessing the word out loud) are up to your table—the app keeps the flow; you bring the chaos. Imposter — quick rounds, big groups, and one question: who’s faking it? Privacy: https://shinobiapps.com/privacy-policy/ Terms: https://shinobiapps.com/terms-of-use/

Imposter is a fun party game of secret words, hidden roles, bluffing, and deduction. Can you figure out who is lying? Get your word, listen carefully to the others, and try to uncover their roles — while keeping your own identity secret. Trust no one. Give clever clues, catch suspicious answers, defend yourself, and survive the vote. One word is all you have. Use it wisely. --- CHOOSE YOUR GAME MODE Play the way you want — or combine the roles for the ultimate challenge. IMPOSTER MODE Most players are Civilians and receive the same secret word. The Imposter gets a different, but similar word. Listen carefully to everyone's clues, spot the differences, and try to discover who the Imposter is before they manage to blend in. MR. WHITE MODE Ready for a harder challenge? Civilians receive the same secret word, but Mr. White gets no word at all. Mr. White must listen to the others, improvise, and pretend to know the secret word without getting caught. If Mr. White is voted out, there may still be one last chance — guess the Civilians' secret word and turn the game around! COMBINED MODE Want maximum chaos? Play with both Imposter and Mr. White in the same game. Civilians know the secret word. The Imposter has a different word. Mr. White has no word at all. Now everyone has something to hide, and every clue can change the game. --- HOW TO PLAY Take turns giving short clues about your word — but don't make it too obvious. Listen closely to what everyone says. Discuss who seems suspicious, then vote out the player you trust the least. Bluff, accuse, defend yourself, and try to figure out who knows what. Can you expose the Imposter, catch Mr. White, and survive the vote? Gather your friends and find out!
