GroundPin is the utility-mapping app built for the crew in the trench, not the office. Drop a pin the moment you expose a service. Record the utility type, depth, condition and risk. Attach photos with annotations. Share it with the rest of the crew instantly so nobody hits the unknown later. WHY TEAMS USE GROUNDPIN Fewer cable strikes — Every exposed service is logged the second it’s seen, with photos and GPS coordinates accurate enough to relocate. Honest records — No more lost paper notebooks or drawings that don’t match what’s actually in the ground. Your as-builts come straight out of the app, not out of someone’s memory. Real collaboration — Site managers, engineers, surveyors and subcontractors all work from the same live pin map. Verify each other’s finds and flag what’s changed since the last visit. Works where the job is — Download a site for offline use before you lose signal. All pins, photos and notes stay usable in a lay-by, in a trench, or forty metres up a pylon. BUILT FOR UK UTILITIES WORK UK NJUG colour-coded service categories out of the box (electric, water, gas, telecoms, fibre, sewage, and more). HSG47-friendly photo categories (access, ground conditions, existing services, before/after, safety). Risk levels (low / medium / high / critical) and condition tracking (good / damaged / abandoned). Multi-site support for contractors running parallel jobs — keep Farringdon’s Crossrail works separate from your highway scheme in Cambridgeshire. KEY FEATURES Pins GPS-accurate with optional offset corrections after survey-pole verification. Photos with drawable annotations (sketch over the shot to highlight what matters). Verification workflow — “confirmed”, “updated”, “position corrected” or “removed”. Soft-delete with full audit trail so nothing is lost by a mis-tap. Sites Photo galleries categorised for compliance (access, safety, before/after). Free-text notes pinned to the top for easy crew handovers. Members with role-based access: managers, members, subcontractors and viewers. Collaboration Real-time sync across iOS devices and the web dashboard. Activity feed shows who did what, and when, so nothing slips. Push notifications when a teammate drops a critical pin or verifies one you logged. Offline Download entire sites — pins, photos and notes — to work without signal. Changes queue locally and sync automatically when you’re back on network. Privacy & Security Encrypted at rest and in transit. Photos stored with EXIF location matched to pin coordinates. GDPR-compliant account deletion with a 30-day grace period. Multi-factor authentication supported. PRICING Free: up to 3 sites, 25 pins and 3 photos per pin. No card needed. Solo (1 user): £12.99/month or £129.99/year. Team 3 (up to 3 users): £38.99/month or £389.99/year. Team 5 (up to 5 users): £64.99/month or £649.99/year.
