About

Code Editor

Features

Code Editor is a multi-tab editor for source files, config files and notes. Open a .py, fix a .json, edit a config, or read through a log — with syntax coloring that follows whatever you opened. MULTI-TAB EDITING Open several files at once and switch between tabs without losing your place. Each tab keeps its own scroll position, cursor and syntax mode. SYNTAX HIGHLIGHTING FOR 14 LANGUAGES Python, JavaScript, JSON, XML, Markdown, Bash, CSS, Dart, Java, Kotlin, SQL, YAML, HTML and plain text. The language is detected from the file extension, and you can change it per file from the editor toolbar. QUICK NOTES Start writing without naming a file. Notes save themselves as you go and when you leave the app. Pin the ones you keep coming back to, swipe away the rest. NOTE TEMPLATES Six templates to start from: Meeting Notes, To-Do, Journal, Letter, Shopping List and Blank. FILES APP INTEGRATION Open documents straight from the Files app, iCloud Drive or another app's share sheet, edit them, and save or share the result. LARGE FILES Files too big to hold in memory open in a windowed viewer instead of the editor, so a big log opens in a moment rather than stalling. Binary files open in a hex view. CODING TOOLBAR One-tap insertion for the characters a software keyboard buries: Tab, braces, brackets, parentheses, semicolon, colon, equals, angle brackets, slash, pipe, hash and at. FIND AND REPLACE Search an open file with live match highlighting. Replace one match or all of them. COMPARE TWO FILES Open two files side by side and see what changed between them, line by line. WORD AND CHARACTER COUNT A collapsible bar shows live word, character and line counts as you type. SHARE AS IMAGE Export a snippet as a styled image, for sending code to someone who is not going to open a file. THEMES AND TYPOGRAPHY Light and dark themes, adjustable font size, line numbers on or off, and word wrap. WORKS OFFLINE Everything above runs on your device. Your files are not uploaded anywhere. PRO The editor, notes, tabs, syntax highlighting, search, compare and the file viewer are all free and unmetered. Pro removes the ads and unlocks every editor theme. There are two ways to buy it: a one-time purchase that never renews and restores on any device signed in to the same Apple Account, or a monthly plan you can cancel at any time. SUBSCRIPTION AND PRICING • Code Editor Pro — $9.99, one payment, does not renew • Code Editor Pro Monthly — $1.99 per month, renews automatically • Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase • A subscription renews unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period • Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy Policy: https://cosmovex.web.app/apps/textvedit/privacy-policy Support: https://cosmovex.web.app/apps/textvedit/support
