About

SrednaBG

Drive Bulgaria's average-speed zones with confidence. SrednaBG tracks your live running average and the maximum speed you can hold to the end of every zone — so you always know exactly how much room you have left. Coverage area: Bulgaria only. SrednaBG does not detect average-speed zones outside Bulgaria. WHAT IT DOES When you enter an average-speed zone, SrednaBG starts calculating in real time: • Your running average speed since the entry camera • The maximum speed you can sustain for the rest of the zone and still finish under the limit • Distance remaining to the exit camera • A clear safe / watch / over status at a glance WHY YOU NEED IT Waze and most navigation apps will warn you that an average-speed zone is coming, but they stop there. Once you're inside, you're on your own — there's no way to know whether the speed you just held for two kilometres has left you any margin for the remaining four. SrednaBG closes that gap. It's the companion for anyone who already uses Waze, Apple Maps, or Google Maps in Bulgaria. TRIP HISTORY Every completed average-speed zone is saved on your phone. Open a trip to see your average, top and lowest speed, and a speed-over-time graph drawn against the zone limit, so you can see exactly where the margin went. Tap "Show on map" to see the zone you drove, coloured by how the pass ended. Records are kept for as long as you choose in Settings — off, 1, 3 or 6 months, with 3 as the default — and nothing ever leaves the phone. FEATURES • Live running-average speed for every average-speed zone in Bulgaria • "Max-to-end" speed — the exact maximum you can drive to the exit camera and still finish under the limit • Trip history with a per-zone speed graph, and a retention period you control • Spoken alerts in Bulgarian and English — entry, limit, over-limit warnings and your final average, so you can keep your eyes on the road • Per-vehicle speed limits — car/motorcycle, bus/minibus/with trailer, or truck — so each zone shows the limit that applies to you • Offline maps powered by MapLibre — no data connection needed • Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, so you can glance at your average without unlocking the phone • Adaptive GPS — 1-second updates inside a zone, slower when no zone is nearby, to preserve battery • Auto-stop after a configurable period of inactivity (3 hours, 6 hours, or Never) so a forgotten background session won't drain your battery • Bulgarian and English interface • Ships with the full Bulgaria zone list; optional online updates keep it current PRIVACY FIRST • No ads, no analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs • No account, no sign-up, no email required • Your location and your trip history never leave your phone • Open-source under the MIT license — every line is on GitHub for you to read ABOUT THE DATA SrednaBG uses the official zone list maintained by BG TOLL (the Bulgarian national toll agency), cross-referenced against community sources. The map is built from OpenStreetMap, packaged offline so it works everywhere — including mountain passes with no signal. FREE FOREVER No in-app purchases, no premium tier, no subscriptions, no upsells. IMPORTANT SrednaBG is a driver-assistance tool, not a substitute for safe driving. Always obey posted speed limits and follow traffic laws. The figures shown are best-effort estimates from GPS; the official tolerance and any enforcement decisions are entirely up to BG TOLL.
