Light Meter helps you measure exposure in real time and find the right camera settings faster. Designed for photographers and filmmakers, the app turns your iPhone into a practical exposure meter for everyday shoots, studio work, portraits, landscapes, and low-light scenes. Quickly read the light in front of you, lock the settings you want to keep fixed, and let the app calculate the missing exposure value automatically. Whether you are shooting with a digital camera, film camera, cinema camera, or manual lens, Light Meter helps you work with more confidence before you press the shutter. • Live Exposure Reading Measure light in real time and instantly calculate camera-ready exposure settings. • Lock Any Two Controls Choose which two settings stay fixed - ISO, shutter speed, or aperture - and let the meter calculate the third automatically. • Shutter Priority Freeze motion or create blur while the app calculates the right aperture. • Aperture Priority Set your depth of field and let the meter solve the matching shutter speed. • Auto ISO Keep shutter speed and aperture fixed while the meter adjusts ISO automatically. • Spot Metering Tap the preview to meter a specific part of the scene with more precision. • Built for Real Shoots Use it for portraits, landscapes, studio lighting, street photography, film photography, and video exposure planning. Light Meter gives you a fast, visual way to understand exposure before shooting. It is especially useful when working with manual cameras, adapting to changing light, checking mixed scenes, or planning a consistent exposure setup. Simple enough for beginners, precise enough for advanced photographers. Terms of Use: https://www.optionalchaining.com/terms-of-use Privacy Policy: https://www.optionalchaining.com/privacy-policy

Light Meter: Exposure Lux helps you choose exposure settings for film and manual cameras using your iPhone camera. Set ISO and aperture, point at your scene, and read a suggested shutter speed alongside EV and estimated Lux. METER, SET, AND RECOMPOSE 1. Open the live camera preview and aim at the scene you want to photograph. 2. Choose your film or camera ISO and lens aperture. The app calculates a shutter speed from the measured light. 3. Lock a reading to keep that exposure reference while you recompose. Start a new reading when you want to meter again. Your photo ISO and aperture are remembered between sessions. Common choices include ISO 160 and 320, plus f/1.8 and f/3.5. Recent records let you review a saved reference or reuse its settings for a new measurement. FREE FOR EVERYDAY PHOTO METERING • Live EV and estimated Lux. • ISO and aperture selection with full-stop shutter recommendations. • Three reading locks per device each local calendar day. • Access to your latest three locked records, stored on your device. PRO FOR REPEATED MEASUREMENTS AND CINEMA WORK An optional monthly or annual Pro subscription adds: • Unlimited reading locks and access to up to 20 recent records. • Manual EV calibration to adjust readings against a trusted reference meter. • Cinema Mode: choose ISO, frame rate and shutter angle to calculate an aperture reference. • Estimated light levels in foot-candles. • Half-stop and third-stop shutter recommendations. The purchase screen shows the current local price and any introductory offer available to you. You can restore purchases and open Apple's subscription management from Settings. KNOW THE MEASUREMENT This app estimates reflected light with the iPhone camera. Lux and foot-candle values are estimates derived from exposure, not calibrated incident-light measurements. Results depend on the camera, scene brightness and subject reflectance. Use them as an exposure reference; critical work should be checked with a dedicated meter. The preview guide is not a calibrated spot meter. The app does not capture photos or record video. Camera frames are processed on your device for metering. Preview frames are not saved as photos or videos, and recent records are stored locally. The app interface is in English.
