SpeedGuardian Pro just launched — and it does one thing nobody else does: it shows you the NEXT TWO speed limits ahead on your route, so the 55-to-25 drop at the town line never ambushes you again. WHY DRIVERS KEEP IT ON EVERY DRIVE • Route-ahead preview: "Next: 45 in 0.4 mi → Then: 25 in 1.2 mi." Adjust your cruise before the sign, not after the flash. • On CarPlay, day one: posted limit, your speed (red the moment you're over), the next zone, and turn-by-turn — right on the head unit. • A chime exactly when it matters: pick your threshold (0, 5, 10, or 15 over). One chime per episode. Ducks your music — never your phone calls. • Voice-only "safe glance" mode: spoken alerts with zero screen updates while you drive. • Spoken turn-by-turn navigation with real-time speed-limit awareness on every road. • Weekly driving report: over-threshold count, harsh events, and week-over-week progress — stored on your device only. BUILT FOR THE PEOPLE A TICKET HURTS MOST Gig and rideshare drivers protecting the record that IS their job. Parents of teen drivers using Family Sharing (included, up to six family members). Anyone one violation away from an insurance re-rate. PRIVACY FIRST No account. No ads. No third-party analytics. Your location and driving data stay on your device — we cannot see where you drive. App Store privacy label: no data linked to you, no tracking. WHAT SPEEDGUARDIAN PRO IS NOT It is not a radar detector and contains no police alerts or evasion features. It shows you public road-sign information — posted speed limits — clearly and ahead of time. It is an informational aid: always obey posted signage; when the app and a sign disagree, the sign is right. Speed-limit data provided by HERE Technologies with OpenStreetMap fallback. Coverage is strongest on highways and in metro areas. Subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MapShifter at none against SpeedGuardian Pro's 3. MapShifter also leads on ratings volume (13 vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). SpeedGuardian Pro's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and update cadence (every 4 days vs weekly). On price, ads, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

SpeedGuardian Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MapShifter has 13 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
MapShifter ships an update weekly, SpeedGuardian Pro every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
