About

Contexto

Contexto is a flashcard app where every word appears in fresh, level-matched sentences β€” never the same one twice β€” and every review builds a real conversation. So you don't just remember words. You learn to use them. Available for Spanish, German, Italian, and Mandarin Chinese. NEVER SEE THE SAME SENTENCE TWICE In other flashcard apps, you end up memorizing the card, not the word. Contexto generates a new sentence for every review, matched to your level β€” so what you're recalling is the word, not the flashcard. FLASHCARDS THAT TALK BACK Every review builds toward a real conversation with Contexto. Answer, respond, and watch the dialogue grow β€” ending with a free-response reply in your own words. Say it wrong, learn to say it right: if your reply misses the mark, Contexto shows you how to say what you meant. YOU DON'T JUST REMEMBER WORDS β€” YOU LEARN TO USE THEM Mastery comes from recall, comprehension, and construction β€” not just whether you tapped the right answer. A curriculum of words for every level, with clear progress as you master each unit. EVERY FORM, TRACKED SEPARATELY You know hablar β€” but do you know hablarΓas? Contexto tracks your familiarity with each grammatical form on its own, not just the word as a whole. ALSO INCLUDED - Tap any word to translate it - Save any word into your own review packets - Speaking practice with pronunciation feedback

About

Phrase Rush

Features

Learn a language the way you will actually use it: by translating real, everyday phrases and getting instant feedback on every single answer. Phrase Rush gives you one sentence at a time. You type your translation, and an AI tutor tells you whether it works, what you missed, and how a native speaker would say it. No multiple choice, no tapping scrambled words into place β€” you produce the language yourself, which is exactly what makes it stick. WHY PHRASES, NOT WORD LISTS Isolated words never teach you word order, agreement or tone. Whole phrases do. Every sentence in Phrase Rush is something you could genuinely say β€” at work, on a trip, at dinner β€” so grammar and vocabulary arrive together, already in context. CLIMB THE REAL CEFR LADDER Your level runs from A1-1 to C2-5: the six official CEFR levels, each split into five steps. Answer well and you move up. Struggle and the app eases off until you are ready. No arbitrary points, no gems, no lives β€” just your real level, and the feeling of watching it rise. INSTANT AI FEEDBACK Every translation gets a verdict and a short explanation: why it worked, which wording would sound more natural, or exactly which missing word changed the meaning of the sentence. It is the part of a private tutor that a flashcard can never give you. SPACED REPETITION THAT REMEMBERS FOR YOU The phrases you got wrong come back at the right moment β€” just before you would have forgotten them. The Review tab always knows what is due, so a few focused minutes a day is enough to keep everything you have learned. HEAR EVERY PHRASE Tap to listen to the correct translation and train your ear and your pronunciation alongside your writing. TRACK REAL PROGRESS Accuracy for every sub-level, total attempts, day streaks, and a full history of every phrase you have translated with the feedback you received. LANGUAGES Practise English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese. Available pairs: English-Spanish, English-French, Spanish-English, Spanish-French, Spanish-German, Spanish-Italian, Spanish-Portuguese, French-English, French-Spanish, German-Spanish, Italian-Spanish and Portuguese-Spanish. Study more than one pair and switch between them whenever you like. The interface is available in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese. PRIVACY BY DEFAULT No ads. No analytics, no trackers, no session recording, no advertising cookies. We do not sell your data. Sign in with Apple β€” including Hide My Email β€” or with Google, and delete your account and everything in it from inside the app whenever you want. WHO IT IS FOR Learners who finished a beginner app and still freeze in a real conversation. Students preparing for a CEFR exam. Anyone who would rather spend ten focused minutes producing real sentences than collecting badges. Open the app and translate your first phrase in under a minute.
