Play guitar on your iPhone or iPad, explore new chords, and make everyday moments musical. Real Guitar – Simulator brings a playable fretboard, a chord library, and practice tools together in one place. Pick out a melody, try a chord sequence, or settle into a focused practice session. Whether you're discovering guitar for the first time or keeping music close between sessions with your instrument, there's always something to explore. PLAY FREELY, ONE NOTE OR CHORD AT A TIME Open Free Play and explore notes across the interactive fretboard. Use chord shortcuts to move between familiar shapes such as C, G, Am, and Em, then experiment with combinations of your own. Strum a chord, pick individual notes, and hear how they fit together. All you need to start playing is your screen. EXPLORE CHORDS WITH VISUAL GUIDANCE Look up a chord by name or browse categories including major, minor, seventh, power, and suspended chords. View diagrams that show string and fret positions, then see the selected chord on the fretboard. Save favorites for quick access and revisit recently explored chords when you want to try them again. MAKE CHORD PRACTICE A CHALLENGE Try Chord Master for a more playful way to spend time with chords. Follow the on-screen prompts and use the visual fretboard cues to work through the challenge. It's a way to add variety to a session when you want something more focused than free play. FOLLOW A PATH THROUGH THE BASICS Give your practice a starting point with the Learning Path. Explore activities that introduce chords, chord changes, and strumming. Start with an introductory activity and explore the later stages as you become familiar with the app. Keep track of completed lessons so you can see where you are in the path. BUILD A REGULAR PRACTICE HABIT Daily Practice brings daily challenges and training activities into one view. Give yourself a reason to return, choose an activity for the time you have, and review how long you've spent practicing. Weekly activity trends help you see when you've made time for music. A few minutes can be enough to revisit a chord or continue an exercise. Choose a pace that fits your day. KEEP TIME WITH THE METRONOME Set a tempo and choose a time signature to give your practice a steady beat. Start slowly while exploring a chord change or rhythm, then adjust the BPM when you want a different pace. Switch between options such as 3/4 and 4/4 to explore different rhythmic feels. TRY DIFFERENT TUNINGS AND CAPO POSITIONS Explore tuning options including Standard, Drop D, Open G, and Open D. Move the virtual capo to a different fret and experiment with another setup for your on-screen guitar. Built-in tuning tools also put standard-string reference notes within reach when you want to check a note. A SIMPLE WAY TO START Choose a chord from the library, try it on the fretboard, then set the metronome to a comfortable tempo and repeat. For your next session, pick an activity from the Learning Path or return to a daily challenge. Use your iPhone for a quick musical break, or give yourself more room to explore on iPad. Pick a chord and start playing today. Download now and start playing guitar instantly. Some features and advanced practice tools require an in-app purchase.
