ToneSeed is a complete ear training app for musicians, music theory students, and singers. An adaptive engine learns your strengths and weaknesses, then builds every session around what you need to practice most. INTERVAL TRAINING Identify ascending, descending, and harmonic intervals from unison to octave. The adaptive engine tracks your accuracy for each interval and direction, challenging you where you're weakest. Anchor each interval with reference songs you know. CHORD RECOGNITION Learn to identify 11 chord types: major, minor, diminished, augmented, sus2, sus4, and all seventh chords (Maj7, min7, dom7, dim7, m7b5). Train with root position through 3rd inversion. SCALE IDENTIFICATION Recognize 12 scale types: major, natural minor, harmonic minor, melodic minor, major and minor pentatonic, blues, and 5 modes (Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Locrian). Each scale plays as a melody with staff notation. VOCAL WARMUP Guided 5-, 8-, or 12-minute routines: sirens, lip-trills, hums, scales, arpeggios, and a sustained-tone messa di voce. Transposed through your own vocal range with a soft drone for support. SOLFEGE SINGING Sight-singing practice with real-time pitch detection. 26 progressive exercises across 7 major keys, from stepwise motion to challenging leaps. INTERVAL SINGING Hear only the root, then sing the second note of the interval. Octave-independent matching lets you sing in your own range. CHORD ENTRANCE Hear a chord, then sing its 3rd or 5th. A pitch meter shows where you landed, and feedback distinguishes correct from confused-with from non-chord-tone. MELODIC DICTATION Transcribe melodies by ear across 3 modes: - Diatonic: melodies in 5 major keys - Atonal: chromatic melodies with no key center - Melodic-rhythmic: combined pitch and rhythm transcription RHYTHMIC DICTATION Notate rhythms from memory across 8 difficulty levels — from basic quarter notes to complex patterns with dots, ties, rests, and triplets. CADENCE IDENTIFICATION Identify 4 cadence types (perfect authentic, plagal, half, deceptive) in major keys. CHORD PROGRESSIONS Identify 27 common chord progressions — pop staples like I–V–vi–IV, jazz ii–V–I turnarounds, 12-bar blues, and minor-key classics (Stairway, Andalusian cadence). Build custom practice sets by picking scale degrees, or choose a preset (Pop, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Classical). Answer by tapping the progression name or by tapping out the chords one at a time. "Music Training 99” is a collection of training games that helps you learn the fundamentals of movable-do solfège, scales, intervals, chords, and rhythm for jazz and pop music while having fun. It is recommended for anyone who has difficulty memorizing chord tones or wants to reinforce music fundamentals through enjoyable repetition. Practice by arranging blocks, selecting moving balls, and combining notes and rests. 【Recall Chord Tones Instantly from Chord Symbols】 The Chord Tone Game is designed to help you see a chord symbol on a lead sheet and recall its chord tones without having to work them out one by one. Through repeated practice, you can progress from calculating “root, major third, perfect fifth…” in your head each time to recalling chord tones instantly—just like multiplication tables. The game is useful for piano and guitar players who want to understand chords not only as fingering patterns but also as individual chord tones. It can also help trumpet, saxophone, and other wind instrument players build a foundation for understanding chords and learning jazz improvisation. Please note that this app is not designed to develop perfect pitch or similar listening skills. Instead, it focuses on helping you learn the relationships among note names, intervals, scales, and chords through visual exercises and repetition. 【Why “99”?】 In Japan, multiplication tables are called kuku and written as 九九, literally meaning “nine-nine.” Children memorize them by repeatedly reciting short rhythmic phrases until they can answer without thinking. “Music Training 99” applies the same approach to music fundamentals, using repetition and gameplay to help you recall them quickly. 【Four Training Games】 ■ Scale Game Complete scales with missing notes by selecting the correct note blocks and sending them into the empty spaces. Connect note names with movable-do syllables and learn which notes correspond to Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, and Ti in each key. ■ Interval Game Find the ball displaying the note name that forms the specified interval from the reference note. Collect three correct balls to complete each question. Repeated practice helps reinforce the relationship between intervals and note names. You can also use a hint to hear the reference note followed by the correct note. ■ Chord Tone Game Move the blocks to arrange the notes that make up the specified chord. Through repeated gameplay, you can learn the chord tones of major, minor, seventh, and other chords. ■ Rhythm Game Listen to a rhythm and recreate it by combining notes and rests. Start with basic rhythms using quarter notes and progress to finer and more challenging patterns as you advance through the levels. 【Track Your Progress】 In addition to your highest score and level reached in each game, the app records your progress in scales, intervals, chords, and rhythm. Review your strengths, identify what you would like to practice next, and continue learning at your own pace. 【Practice at the Level That Suits You】 Each game offers multiple levels, ranging from basic exercises to more advanced musical concepts. The app can be used both by beginners learning music fundamentals and by experienced musicians reviewing music theory. Level 1 of each game is free to play. A one-time purchase of the Full Version gives you immediate access to every level in all four games.
