Learn the words you actually use—and find people nearby to practice with. ChitChat is a language-learning and community app that turns your everyday vocabulary into a personalized study plan. Record yourself speaking about your life, interests, routines, or goals, and ChitChat transcribes your speech, identifies the words you use most, and organizes them for practice in your target language. PERSONALIZED VOCABULARY Build a study plan based on your real conversations instead of relying only on generic word lists. Review your most-used words, see how they are translated, organize them by CEFR level, and track your progress from A1 through C2. SIX WAYS TO PRACTICE Strengthen recall and comprehension with: • Flashcards • Fill in the Blank • Definitions • Matching • Translation • Level-based practice ChitChat tracks your attempts, accuracy, and word mastery so you can focus on the vocabulary that needs more attention. VOICE CONVERSATION PRACTICE Build confidence by speaking with an AI language partner in real time. Practice conversations in your target language, review your transcript afterward, and use words from your conversations to continue growing your personalized study plan. DAILY CHALLENGES AND STREAKS Complete daily translation questions based on your vocabulary, monitor your current and longest streaks, and receive reminders that help you stay consistent. LOCAL LANGUAGE MEETUPS Discover language meetups in your area and turn digital learning into real-world conversation. View each meetup’s languages, proficiency levels, venue, schedule, location, and attendance availability. RSVP as Going, Maybe, or Can’t Go, share your language level and learning interests, and join the meetup group chat to connect with other attendees. You can also host your own meetup, add multiple languages, set an attendance limit, choose public or friends-only visibility, and share the event with the ChitChat community. COMMUNITY AND STUDY PARTNERS Meet other language learners through community posts, profiles, follows, comments, study sets, meetup sharing, and motivation messages. Discover potential study partners, stay connected between events, and compare progress on public and friends leaderboards. CREATE AND DISCOVER STUDY SETS Build custom study sets using the words and translations you want to learn, or explore public sets created by other members. Save useful sets and add selected vocabulary to your own study plan. LANGUAGE AVAILABILITY The fullest ChitChat experience is currently available for English and Spanish, including personalized vocabulary, AI-generated practice, pronunciation support, and voice conversations. Limited features are also available for select English language pairs, including Jamaican Patois, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese. Available practice modes and AI features vary by language pair. Whether you are learning for travel, conversation, school, work, or personal growth, ChitChat helps make language learning more personal, practical, and social.
