ASTB APP vs ASTB Study

$69, one time. Lifetime access. Less than the cost of a single retake — and you only get three. ASTB.app is the only ASTB-E prep platform that adapts to you in real time. Our engine uses Item Response Theory — the same psychometric framework behind the actual ASTB-E — to analyze your ability after every answer and select the next question at your optimal challenge point. This isn't a static question bank. This is how the real test works, and no other prep tool replicates it. Every session makes you sharper. Every answer teaches the system where to push you harder and where to reinforce foundations. The ASTB-E is a lifetime-limited exam — you only get three attempts, ever. Your OAR composite score determines whether you qualify for pilot, NFO, or flight officer training in the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. Walking in unprepared isn't just risky. It's permanent. We built ASTB.app so that doesn't happen. 2,700+ ADAPTIVE PRACTICE QUESTIONS All four scored sections covered: Math Skills (MST), Reading Comprehension (RCT), Mechanical Comprehension (MCT), and Aviation & Nautical Information (ANIT). Every question is calibrated with three IRT parameters — difficulty, discrimination, and guessing probability. Over 1,000 questions feature military and aviation context: Blackhawk helicopter systems, carrier operations, F-18 flight mechanics, and naval navigation. 165 MCT questions include detailed diagrams for gears, pulleys, circuits, levers, inclined planes, and fluid systems. FULL-LENGTH TIMED PRACTICE TESTS Take realistic 4-section timed tests that mirror the actual exam structure: 30 MST questions, 20 RCT, 30 MCT, and 30 ANIT. Your OAR composite is calculated automatically on the 20-80 scale using the official MST (40%), RCT (30%), MCT (30%) weighting. Review your performance breakdown by section and concept after every test. See exactly where you stand before test day. AI TUTOR Stuck on a question? Our AI tutor doesn't just give you the answer — it explains the underlying concept, walks through the solution step by step, and answers your follow-up questions in conversation. It's like having a private tutor available 24/7 who knows every topic on the exam. PBM TRAINER — 61 DRILLS The Performance Based Measures section tests multitasking under pressure, and most prep tools ignore it entirely. We built 61 drills across four categories: 20 reaction time drills (color match, direction response, go/no-go, spatial awareness), 21 dual-task exercises combining primary tracking with secondary cognitive tasks, and 20 advanced drills including mechanical reasoning, triple-task scenarios, sequencing challenges, and aviation decision-making under time pressure. SPACED REPETITION (SM-2) Missed questions automatically become review cards. The SM-2 algorithm schedules each card for review at the optimal moment — right before you'd forget it. Cards you know well space out to weeks. Cards you struggle with come back within a day. Your review deck builds itself from your real mistakes. 681 FLASHCARDS ACROSS 28 DECKS Every major concept on the exam covered: aerodynamics, navigation, engine systems, electrical circuits, algebra, geometry, reading strategies, and more. Tap to flip. Rate your recall. The spaced repetition system handles the rest. 101 STUDY LESSONS Comprehensive written lessons for every testable concept, organized by section. Track which lessons you've completed. Focus your reading on the areas where your quiz performance says you need it most. AI-GENERATED STUDY PLAN Get a personalized weekly study schedule built from your actual performance data. The plan allocates more time to your weak areas and less to concepts you've already mastered. Adapts as you improve. READINESS SCORE A holistic 0-100 score that combines seven factors: ability estimates, PBM training, concept coverage, full test performance, lesson completion, confidence calibration, and study consistency. One number that tells you whether you're ready.
