HALIO AI vs PhiNote

HALIO is a private, offline-first AI assistant that lives on your iPhone. No cloud. No account. No subscription. No signal required. Every major AI app today sends your conversations to a server. HALIO doesn't. The model runs on your device, your prompts stay on your device, and your history never leaves your phone. Airplane mode, a spotty connection, or no connection at all — HALIO keeps working. WHY HALIO • 100% on-device — GPU-accelerated for fast, efficient inference on modern iPhones. • Truly private — your conversations are stored locally and never transmitted. • No sign-up — open the app and start chatting. • No subscription — one-time download, no hidden tiers, no server-side rate limits. • Offline by default — works on a plane, on the subway, in the woods, under a desk. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Ask questions, brainstorm ideas, draft writing, summarize notes. • Dictate messages with on-device speech recognition. • Attach photos from your library to ground a conversation. • Keep multiple conversations going in parallel. • Use it as a thinking partner without worrying who's reading. FROM BUILDERBIAS HALIO is built by BuilderBias — intentional, transparent, responsible AI by design. We believe your AI should work for you, not the other way around. That means running on hardware you own, with data you control, under terms you can read. Download HALIO. Go offline. Keep thinking.

PhiNote is a private notes app with a real AI built in — and it never leaves your phone. Write your notes like you always do. Then ask PhiNote anything about them: "What did I write about SN2 reactions?" or "Summarize chapter 4." The AI reads your notes and answers instantly, because it's running locally with Qwen3 — not in the cloud. Studying for a test? Tap Quiz Me and PhiNote turns any note into a quiz on the spot. Get scored, see exactly which questions you missed, and review before your next session. Why on-device matters: • Your notes and questions never touch a server • Works with zero internet connection • No accounts required to use the AI • Nothing to leak, nothing to subscribe to just to feel safe Built for iPhone and iPad, with a proper split-view layout on iPad so your notes and chat sit side by side. Free to write, organize, and read your notes. Unlock on-device AI — chat and Quiz Me — with a one-time purchase. Private by design. Smart by default.
