A fast, focused calculator for the wet-lab bench. Built for single-cell and molecular biology workflows — BD Rhapsody sample pooling, dilutions, dsDNA molarity, and a full scientific calculator, all in one offline app. TOOLS Pool — Plan BD Rhapsody sample pooling with QC removal. Enter sample count, final pool volume, QC removal volume, and target nuclei after QC. Supports tagged samples (T1 to T6), per-sample final volumes that auto-fill to pool ÷ N (editable if uneven), and switches between stock and diluted input modes with a dilution factor. Dilute — Classic C1V1 = C2V2 dilution calculator. Pick any combination of concentration units (M, mM, µM, nM, ng/µL, µg/mL) and volume units (L, mL, µL). Instant results. dsDNA — Convert between pg/µL and nM using average fragment size. Handles both stock and pre-diluted input via a dilution factor. Uses the standard 660 g/mol per bp conversion. Calc — A clean scientific calculator with trig functions (sin, cos, tan), logarithms (log10, ln), exponents, square roots, parentheses, π, and e. WHY No accounts. No ads. No data collection. Works entirely offline, designed for quick calculations at the bench when you do not want to reach for a laptop or interrupt a protocol. Supports both light and dark modes. Built by the Swarup Lab at UC Irvine.

ResearchCalc is a calculator for life-science researchers, built for the calculations that come up every day in the lab: dilutions, molar concentrations, statistics, and more. Save key results on the same screen and reuse them in your next prep with one tap. Work through media prep, dilution series, and statistics without flipping between notes and other apps. Works fully offline. [Built-in conversions (13 free)] · Dilution (C₁V₁ = C₂V₂) · Stock prep (M × V × MW) · Stock prep (mass conc., m = C × V) · %w/v solution prep · %v/v solution prep · X-fold stock dilution · Molar mass (g ↔ mol) · Specific gravity (g ↔ mL) · A260 → nucleic acid concentration · A280 → protein concentration · OD600 → cell density (microbes) · Antibody / stain dilution (1:N) · Serial dilution [Scientific keys + statistics] Tap fx (top right) to switch to scientific mode. Trig, log, exp, and exponents — plus quick statistics (mean / SD / SEM / CV%) computed in one tap from a list of numbers. [Memos — keep results on screen] Pin important results at the top of the calculator screen. For multi-step prep (e.g. stock → dilution → reaction mix), recall earlier values without changing screens. Tap the × button on a memo chip to remove it. [39 compound presets] Built-in molecular weights and densities for common reagents (NaCl, Tris, DMSO, glycine, glucose, and more). Pull them up from any conversion. [History] Every calculation is auto-saved. Search through history and pin anything worth keeping as a memo. [Privacy] App-generated data (history, memos, presets, settings) is stored on the device only and is not sent to external servers. No account required. The free tier uses Google AdMob, which may collect or process device data per Google's policies for ad delivery. Ads are removed entirely with the Pro upgrade. [Pro (one-time purchase, no subscription, for research and educational use)] · 7 additional conversions: reagent batch prep, cell seeding, cell density (hemocytometer), concentrated acid/base dilution (purity + density), % additive (stock-volume basis and final-volume basis), and animal-research unit conversion (mg/kg + concentration → preparation volume, non-clinical research only) · Add and edit compound presets · Keep history with no time limit (up to 200 entries) + CSV export · Up to 15 memos (free tier: 3) · Customize keypad layout · No ads [Who it's for] · Life-science researchers (biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, biomedical research, including industry R&D) · Undergraduates, graduate students, and postdocs [Disclaimer] ResearchCalc is a calculation aid for research and educational use only. It is not intended for determining patient dosing, clinical diagnosis, treatment decisions, or use as a medical device. Always verify calculation results before use.
