JSON View is a clean JSON viewer and editor. Open, view, edit, format, and validate JSON files โ€” all offline, no account required, no ads. Whether you're a developer debugging an API response, a data analyst inspecting config files, a student learning JSON syntax, or someone who just received a .json file and needs to read it โ€” JSON View handles it efficiently. TREE VIEW โ€” EXPLORE JSON VISUALLY Navigate complex, deeply nested JSON with a collapsible tree view. Each node shows the key name, value type, and child count at a glance. Tap to expand or collapse any object or array. Color-coded types make it easy to spot strings, numbers, booleans, and null values without reading every line. Auto-expands the first two levels when you open a file โ€” so you see structure immediately, not a wall of collapsed nodes. TEXT VIEW โ€” READ & EDIT WITH SYNTAX HIGHLIGHTING Switch to a full syntax-highlighted text view with line numbers. Every key, string, number, boolean, and bracket is color-coded for quick scanning. Edit your JSON directly in the text editor โ€” fix typos, update values, restructure data. JSON View gives you both a visual tree view AND a real text editing mode with syntax highlighting, giving you the flexibility to work exactly how you want. FORMAT & BEAUTIFY Beautify messy, minified JSON into a clean, readable structure with one tap. Choose your indentation โ€” 2 spaces, 4 spaces, or tabs. Minify bloated JSON into compact single-line output for APIs or configs. Sort keys alphabetically to organize your data. VALIDATE BEFORE YOU SAVE Real-time JSON validation catches syntax errors before you save. See exactly which line and column has the problem โ€” no more guessing. JSON View validates your file every time you save, so you never accidentally corrupt a file. Auto-fix common mistakes like trailing commas, missing quotes, and extra brackets. OPEN JSON FROM ANYWHERE Pick a .json file from your device storage using the built-in file browser. Paste JSON directly from your clipboard โ€” no file needed. Load JSON from any URL (paste an API endpoint and see the response). Receive JSON shared from other apps. Start from scratch with a blank file or use starter templates (API Mock, package.json, Config Map). JSON View works with the Files app โ€” tap any JSON file and open it directly in JSON View. SAVE, SHARE & EXPORT Save changes back to the original file. Save as a new .json file anywhere on your device. Export to XML or PDF for sharing with non-technical colleagues. Share formatted JSON as text to any messaging or note-taking app. Copy the entire file to your clipboard with one tap. CONVERT BETWEEN FORMATS Convert JSON to XML and XML to JSON with a single tap. Useful when you need to switch between data formats for different systems, APIs, or team members. Transform key casing โ€” convert between camelCase, snake_case, and PascalCase across all keys in your file. DESIGNED FOR REAL USE Modern, clean interface optimized for your device. Dark mode and light mode with system-aware auto-switching. Works completely offline โ€” no internet connection needed. No account, no sign-up, no login. No data collection โ€” your JSON files never leave your device. Handles deeply nested structures and large files smoothly. Built by Garoono โ€” indie developers who ship useful tools for real people. DevSnoop is a web browser with a full developer tools panel built in, for iPhone and iPad. Build a page, load it in DevSnoop, and inspect it right there โ€” no laptop, no cable, no remote debugging setup. DevSnoop's tools work only on pages you open inside DevSnoop, on your own device. WHAT'S INSIDE Console โ€” Live log stream with filter chips for error / warn / info, keyword search, and a JavaScript REPL for evaluating expressions against the page you're testing. Errors, warnings and logs carry the complete stack trace โ€” tap to expand it, just like a desktop console. Download the whole log buffer to a file in one tap. Smart-quote autocorrect is off, so code runs exactly as you typed it. Network โ€” See every request your page makes. fetch() and XMLHttpRequest calls show full headers and bodies; static resources (CSS, scripts, images, fonts, manifest, the main document) are surfaced via the Resource Timing API. WebSocket connections appear too, with a live log of sent and received frames. Tap a row to load its response body on demand, copy it as a cURL command or a fetch() call to reproduce outside the app, or export the session as a standard HAR file you can open in Chrome or Firefox DevTools. Elements โ€” Walk the live DOM tree, expand nested elements, and tap to highlight a node on the rendered page. Useful for tracking down a stray z-index or unexpected CSS inheritance. Storage โ€” Inspect and edit local storage, session storage and cookies for the page you're testing, including the full cookie attribute set (domain, path, expiry, Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite). Edit a value, refresh, and watch how your page responds. BROWSER ESSENTIALS โ€” Tabs, with private tabs that use a non-persistent WebKit data store: cookies and cache stay in memory and are discarded when the tab closes. โ€” Tab session restoration on next launch. โ€” Bookmarks, browsing history, and an editable Quick Access grid (long-press a tile to rename, change the URL, or delete it). โ€” Search engine choice: Google, DuckDuckGo or Bing. โ€” Clear browsing data selectively โ€” history, cookies and site data, or cache. โ€” Support for the modern web APIs your pages expect: getUserMedia (camera and microphone), navigator.geolocation, and WebKit-backed media playback. โ€” Pull-to-refresh, offline error pages, and a mail-app chooser so links open where you want them. PRIVACY โ€” Your browsing history, bookmarks, open tabs and Quick Access shortcuts are stored only on your device. โ€” No accounts, no advertising SDKs, no selling of your data. โ€” Product analytics are strictly opt-in: you're asked once on first launch, nothing is collected until you agree, the data is anonymous (no account, no URLs, no page content), and you can change your choice anytime in Settings. โ€” Crash reports go to Sentry for stability monitoring and never include URLs, page content or personal data. โ€” Full privacy policy: devsnoop.app DevSnoop is a development and testing tool. Its inspector is intended for debugging and testing your own web pages, for learning how the web platform works, and for accessibility and QA checks on sites you are responsible for. Built for the developer checking a layout fix on a real iPhone, the QA engineer running through a release candidate on a test device, the student learning how the DOM and the network stack fit together โ€” and anyone who has wished mobile Safari had a real DevTools panel.
