DefendIQ vs Skooper

DefendIQ — Prepare Like Your Career Depends On It. Because It Does. Most PhD and Masters students spend years writing their dissertation — and fewer than two weeks preparing to defend it. The defense committee doesn't care how hard you worked. They care whether you can stand behind every claim, justify every methodological choice, and defend every contribution under adversarial, expert questioning. DefendIQ is the first AI platform that reads your actual thesis or capstone and simulates a real defense committee. Not generic questions. Not a chatbot. Your research. Your methodology. Your claims. Interrogated the way a real committee would interrogate them. HOW IT WORKS 1. Upload your PDF dissertation or capstone. DefendIQ reads your entire document — research question, methodology, contributions, and limitations. 2. Face 30 rigorous, research-specific questions across four categories: Foundational, Methodological, Contribution, and Critical. 3. Receive a formal PASS or FAIL verdict with your overall score, strengths, areas of improvement, and critical gaps. 4. Track your Defense Readiness Score across every session and know exactly when you are ready. Skooper is where academic research connections happen. Whether you're a student looking for a supervisor, a postdoc searching for your next position, or a PI building your lab, Skooper matches you with the right people by research field, not by who you already know. How it works: - Tell us where you are in your research journey (PI, postdoc, Master's/PhD, or undergrad) and your research interests. - Get a personal Match Score with supervisors, labs and opportunities that genuinely fit your field. - Browse research labs and open positions, and express interest in one tap. - Connect safely: you approve every connection, and chat opens only when both sides agree. Why Skooper: - Field-based matching that understands your research. - Verified researchers: institutional-email and ORCID-checked profiles. - Private by default: nothing is visible until you're ready, and you approve every request. - Notifications the moment a supervisor wants to connect or a strong match comes in. Skooper is built for the academic world: honest, respectful, and focused on finding the right research fit.
