Tired of rewinding the same demo over and over? Recorded yourself but had no good way to compare? Violin Tutor does one thing well: it puts you inside the deliberate-practice loop teachers actually recommend — record, watch, compare, re-record — without any friction. WHAT IT DOES • Import a reference Bring in your teacher's demo, a masterclass clip, or a recital reference from Files, Photos, or the Share sheet. Supports MP4, MOV, M4A, MP3, WAV, AAC. • Mark the hard passage Scrub a frame-accurate filmstrip, set Begin and End, and split a piece into focused 5–120 second segments. Name each one so you remember what you were working on. • Record with the front camera Tap Record and a 4-beat count-in starts. The front camera shows you live so you can watch your bowing, fingering, and posture while you play. Recording auto-stops at the end of the segment. • Compare side by side Top panel plays the reference. Bottom panel plays you. Tap one and the other pauses automatically. Scroll through your recording history to see how today compares to last week. • Adjustable count-in Set the count-in tempo (default 80 BPM) so you start in time, every time. WHO IT'S FOR • Intermediate-to-advanced violin students working on specific hard passages • Students whose teacher records demo videos to practice against • Players who use video review to refine bowing, intonation, and posture • Anyone preparing for an audition, recital, exam, or competition who needs to drill detail PRIVACY • Everything stays on your device. No cloud sync, no upload. • No account, no email, no location, no device tracking. • No third-party ads or analytics SDKs. • Camera, microphone, and Photos access are used only with your explicit permission. GET STARTED 1. Create a local profile (just a name and birthdate — never sent anywhere) 2. Import a reference video or audio 3. Mark the passage you want to drill 4. Tap Record and play along 5. Compare top and bottom, then go again Built for the violin practice room. No accounts, no subscriptions, no clutter — just record, watch, refine.

String AI is an AI practice coach built exclusively for violin, viola, and cello. It listens note by note, watches your form, scores every attempt, and tells you what to fix as soon as you finish. The same scoring standards are applied to every attempt you play. THE STRUCTURE OF A LESSON, EVERY TIME YOU PRACTICE String AI plans your session, scores each attempt on five playing elements, diagnoses what needs work, and prescribes missions that target it. You always know what to work on next — and why. MUSIC CLASSES — EAR TRAINING, THEORY, HISTORY & VIBRATO Learn what practice alone rarely covers. Hear everything from intervals to harmony with real piano sounds and see it on the keyboard and staff, meet composers from the Renaissance to the 20th century, and develop vibrato step by step on your own instrument. Quizzes and stars show how far you've come. MY SCORES — LESSONS ON YOUR OWN PRINTED PART Bring in a printed part for your instrument from Files, your photo library, or the camera. The app reads the notes on your phone, and you fix what it misread with simple tools. Then listen, slowed down if you like, and take a lesson on measures you choose: one play-through, then missions on the weak spots. Your music stays on this device. A connected teacher sees your practice time; if you share titles, they also see the title you give it and its instrument — never the music — and can assign it as homework. For student accounts and printed single-instrument parts. BUILD GOOD PRACTICE HABITS Set a target date for any piece and String AI paces you to it — planning each day's session, tracking whether you're ahead or behind, and warning you early if the timeline isn't realistic. Spots that need work aren't glossed over: String AI isolates them into short missions just a few measures long and has you repeat exactly those spots. WHAT IT SCORES (5 PLAYING ELEMENTS) • Intonation — real-time pitch tracking, note by note • Rhythm — timing and steadiness • Tone — clarity and quality of sound • Dynamics — control of loud and soft • Posture & bowing — on-device vision analysis of your form WORKS WITH YOUR TEACHER (OPTIONAL) Your teacher sees your practice time, scores for the five playing elements, weak points, practice journal notes and mood, and assignment progress (the full list is in our Privacy Policy) — and can send back assignments, teaching notes you see on your practice plan screen (with AI coaching on, the AI guidance at lesson start uses them too), and markings written directly on your sheet music. Off by default, on only once you enter your teacher's invite code, and revocable at any time. Recordings are not shared with your teacher. YOUR RECORDINGS ARE NEVER UPLOADED TO OUR SERVERS Audio and video are processed on your device. Lesson replays are temporary. Practice Room recordings are saved on this device when you stop recording and can be deleted in the app. If you choose Save video, a copy goes to your photo library and follows your photo app's settings. Your account stores practice records and the limited data described in our Privacy Policy. No ads. No tracking across apps. PLANS Start with a 7-day free trial (same practice limits as Basic), then choose a plan by daily practice volume. Each plan includes a daily baseline and a monthly total: practice less on busy days and up to three times your baseline on free days, and unused minutes carry forward within your monthly total. • Basic — 15 min/day baseline · 450 min/month • Casual — 30 min/day baseline · 900 min/month • Standard — 45 min/day baseline · 1,350 min/month Subscriptions renew automatically; cancel anytime in your App Store subscription settings.
