Ktab

Studying Classical Syriac with digital tools is still harder than it should be. Ktab is built to change that. Most Syriac coursework in the Western tradition is set in Serto, while devices default to Estrangela. Ktab works in either, and switches whenever you like. Type it, look it up, drill it ā a Semitic language with a vast literature in theology, history, and science, and one still in liturgical use today, finally at home on your iPhone. Ā· KEYBOARD A built-in Syriac keyboard with two layouts. Quick maps consonants and vowel marks onto the QWERTY positions you already know, so you can start typing on day one instead of first adapting to a layout that separates vowels from consonants. Universal follows the standard separated design and covers 120 characters ā everything a serious typist or scholar needs. Arabic is built for those more at home on an Arabic keyboard than on QWERTY, matching the habits their fingers already have. Ā· DICTIONARY Enter a Syriac word and jump straight to an online lexicon for the definition. History and Favorites keep your new vocabulary in one place, and you can add your own lookup sources to link in whichever dictionary you prefer. Ā· DRILLS Four-option quizzes on the fundamentals of Syriac grammar. Pair them with Mistakes ā the questions you get wrong go into a review list, where you can read a full explanation, mark an item as mastered, or drill a selection again until it sticks. Ā· GRAMMAR TOOLBOX Clear, card-by-card explanations of the essentials: the alphabet, pronouns, pronominal suffixes, the three states of the noun, verb conjugation, and more. Your iPhone doubles as a pocket reference. Ā· STILL GROWING More features are on the way.

Beautiful handwriting takes a few minutes a day. LetterSprig is a short daily practice for writing by hand, on real paper, with your own pen. Learn to write a new script like Japanese hiragana, Arabic, Korean Hangul, Russian cursive or Hindi Devanagari, or make your everyday handwriting neater in your own language. HOW IT WORKS ⢠Pick one of 30 languages. Where it applies, choose print or cursive. ⢠Each mission takes 5, 7 or 10 minutes: study the model, see the stroke order where it exists, write on paper, then check your page. ⢠Spaced review brings back the letters you are about to forget, a few at a time. ⢠Letter check (beta): photograph your page and see which letters read clearly and which look like a different letter. It does not grade style yet, and it is not available for Chinese yet. If the photo is not clear enough, no check is used. 30 LANGUAGES, 12 SCRIPTS Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Polish, Czech, Romanian, Turkish, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Japanese (hiragana), Chinese (simplified and traditional), Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, Hindi, Bangla, Urdu, Tamil, Thai, Russian, Ukrainian and Greek. The app speaks 31 interface languages, and the language you practice is independent of the app's language. MADE FOR ADULTS No hearts that block you, no guilt notifications, no leaderboards. Your streak counts the weeks you met your own goal, and missing a day never erases what you learned. PRINTABLE SHEETS A4 and US Letter practice sheets with the right guides for each script: four lines for Latin letters, squares for Chinese and Japanese, a headline for Hindi and Bangla. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account needed. No ads, no tracking. Your progress stays on your device. A photo leaves your phone only when you ask for a letter check, and it is deleted from our server within 24 hours. LETTERSPRIG PLUS The first three missions of every course are free, with 3 letter checks. Plus Lifetime is a one-time purchase that unlocks all 30 missions of all 30 courses and printable sheets for every mission, forever, and includes 100 letter checks. Plus is also available as an annual plan (with a 7-day free trial) or a monthly plan, both with 150 letter checks a month. More letter checks come in packs that never expire. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Terms of Use: https://lettersprig.runu.com.br/legal/terms Privacy Policy: https://lettersprig.runu.com.br/legal/privacy

Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: LetterSprig at every 3 days against Ktab's every 5 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
