About

Haptix

Features

Haptix puts your Apple Music on a click wheel: a display above, a wheel below, and every song in your library a turn away. Turn the wheel to move. Press the centre to play. Hold it for more. Press MENU to go back. YOUR LIBRARY, ALL OF IT Playlists, Artists, Albums, Songs, Genres, Composers and Recently Added, read to the very end however big your library is, and sorted the way you like. What is downloaded has a menu of its own, for when you are offline. THE WHOLE CATALOG Search shows the best match first, then songs, albums, artists, playlists and stations, with suggestions as you type and your recent searches kept on your iPhone. Artist pages have top songs, the latest release, albums, singles, appearances and similar artists. Browse has the charts, radio, genres and what Apple Music picks for you. A PLAYER OF ITS OWN Whatever you start in Haptix plays on its own queue, so Up Next is yours to change: play next, play later, remove a song or skip straight to it. Now Playing shows where you are in the album or playlist, and the wheel sets the volume or moves through the song, five seconds a click. The music keeps playing when you lock your iPhone or switch apps. KEEP WHAT YOU FIND Add a song to one of your playlists or start a new one, add albums and playlists to your library, love or dislike a song, and start a station from it. MADE TO BE HELD Six finishes: Silver, Slate, Gold, Blush, Ink and Red, with a ceramic or graphite wheel. Every turn clicks under your thumb, and you can add a soft audible click too. Engrave it with a name if you like. NOTHING ELSE No account, no ads, no tracking. Haptix has no servers and collects nothing. It shows only your own music, and nothing on the display is made up. Requires iOS 17 or later. Playing songs from the Apple Music catalog needs an Apple Music subscription. Haptix is an independent app inspired by click-wheel music players. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Apple.
