Solcast vs 7 Stripes

Weather That Guides Your Day Most weather apps stop at the forecast. Solcast goes further by turning real time local weather into personalized, actionable guidance for your everyday life. It bridges the gap between raw data and your daily routine, telling you exactly how the conditions affect you and your family. A DAILY BRIEFING TAILORED TO YOUR LIFE Every morning, a single glanceable card delivers up to six prioritized action items. You receive UV protection reminders, rain gear nudges, pollen warnings, ideal dog walking times, and migraine alerts. Every insight is shaped by your personal preferences and physical sensitivities, so you only see what actually matters to you. NATIONAL HOLIDAY AWARENESS Solcast automatically detects public holidays across a wide range of countries and surfaces them as a top priority item in your daily briefing. Whether it is a long weekend, a bank holiday, or a national celebration, you always know when a holiday affects your plans before you step outside. 16 LIFESTYLE INDICES CALCULATED ON DEVICE Solcast tracks dressing comfort, UV exposure, sunscreen (SPF) guidance, eye protection, skin care, flu risk, allergy levels, air quality, outdoor sports suitability, travel conditions, hydration needs, road and traffic safety, car wash timing, air conditioning needs, and home ventilation. All 16 indices are computed locally on your device using real time weather data, with no calculation lag and no personal data sent to any server. SMART OUTFIT RECOMMENDATIONS An intelligent engine selects clothing across seven categories including tops, bottoms, outerwear, footwear, accessories, kids, and pets. It evaluates temperature, precipitation, wind, UV, your dressing style, and your household settings to ensure everyone is dressed right for the conditions. DEEP CUSTOMIZATION Your dashboard adapts instantly to your life. Configure settings for temperature sensitivity, sun sensitivity, allergy awareness, migraine sensitivity, dressing style, outdoor exercise habits, kids, pets, and car ownership. Each setting reshapes the entire experience immediately. SEAMLESS MULTI LOCATION TRACKING Save up to four cities and switch between them instantly. Every location receives its own forecast, lifestyle indices, outfit picks, and daily briefing displayed in that city's local timezone, making it effortless to manage travel or check on family abroad. Your current GPS location is always available and never counts toward the limit.
