About

FlockOff App

Your right to privacy is being challenged. FlockOff shows community-mapped ALPR and traffic cameras near you and plays configurable warnings as you approach — even while your screen is locked. Proximity matching and alert decisions happen on your device. Free, with no account, subscription, or in-app purchase. Every camera you report goes back into the open OpenStreetMap dataset other apps draw from too, not a closed FlockOff database. FEATURES • View mapped ALPR and traffic cameras on a live iPhone or iPad map • Choose warning, caution, and danger distances — alerts continue in the background using When In Use location only • Select from synthesized beeps, chimes, sonar, klaxon, spoken distance alerts, or Geiger Mode's ambient density clicking • Compare Apple driving routes by travel time or fewer currently mapped cameras • Get spoken, in-app turn-by-turn directions on your chosen route — camera alerts always take priority over navigation guidance • Download camera data for an area in advance so alerts work with no signal • See distance to the nearest camera from your Lock Screen or Dynamic Island while Monitoring is on • Capture a camera sighting with the map button or Siri • Review report location and details on a satellite map before optionally publishing to OpenStreetMap • Track drives with Drive Log, contributor badges, and a shareable surveillance density card • Stealth Mode for haptics-only alerts, and Pause Monitoring whenever you choose PRIVACY FlockOff does not operate a backend that receives your travel history. To retrieve community camera records, it sends a geographic search area to an OpenStreetMap Overpass service. Apple processes maps, place searches, and route requests through MapKit. A camera report is sent to OpenStreetMap only after you review and explicitly submit it; submitted edits are public and linked to your OpenStreetMap account. IMPORTANT Camera data is community-maintained and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Route camera counts use currently loaded map data and cannot guarantee a camera-free route. Set up the app before driving, remain attentive, and obey all local laws. Camera data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Data Commons Open Database License.

How mapped is this road right now? Start Drive Mode for a live countdown HUD and Lock Screen Live Activity near mapped ALPR pins — then compare Home ↔ Work routes by mapped pin exposure, or grade your block with Place Score. Built on OpenStreetMap community data (the same public dataset as DeFlock) plus a DeFlock Dane FOIA snapshot. Differentiation is the drive: route exposure, pin-zone alerts, and Live Activity — not a bigger map. No accounts. No tracking. Your location never leaves your device. Data Not Collected. • Drive Mode — live countdown HUD + Lock Screen / Dynamic Island Live Activity while you drive • Fewest Pins Drive Home ↔ Work — compare routes by mapped pin exposure; share a drive report • Pin-zone alerts — optional geofenced alerts when your phone is near mapped OSM pins (not plate reads) • Instant Place Score — grade your block in seconds; share Instagram-ready cards • AR Camera Sight — overlay mapped ALPR locations on the street (not a live feed) • Map + FOV cones — clusters, Flock filter, Coverage Confidence, optional approach haptics • Sharing Network — FOIA partners mapped by inferred county from the agency name; search any agency beyond the map pins • Community reporting — flag unmapped cameras as anonymous OSM notes • City rankings, widgets, and Siri Shortcuts Not affiliated with Flock Safety. Civic transparency mapping — not a radar detector.
