DepthWeaver turns real-world depth into hidden-image stereograms. Capture a scene with the LiDAR scanner, generate depth from any photo with on-device AI, scan a real object with Apple's Object Capture, or load a 3D model — then watch a hidden image rise out of the noise as you cross your eyes. CAPTURE DEPTH FIVE WAYS • LiDAR live capture on iPhone Pro and iPad Pro — point, freeze, done • On-device AI depth from any photo (Depth Anything V2) • Scan real objects with Apple's Object Capture (Pro devices) — guided orbits turn a real object into a .usdz you can orbit and frame • 3D model import — .usdz, .usd, .obj, .scn with an orbit camera so you choose the angle • Bundled height map and 3D model presets to play with right away PICK A PATTERN • Six procedural generators: random dot, stars, Perlin noise, Worley noise, Voronoi cells, reaction-diffusion • Import any image from your photo library as a custom tile • Built-in texture library TUNE EVERY KNOB • DPI, depth strength, separation, oversampling • Remap input and output depth ranges to push the subject forward or back • Denoise quantized 8-bit imports for clean, banding-free output • Invert depth in one tap • Live preview redraws as you slide PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything runs on device. No account, no upload, no tracking, no ads. Your photos and 3D scans never leave your device. UNDER THE HOOD Parallelized implementation of the Thimbleby–Inglis–Witten autostereogram algorithm with W. A. Steer's link-based hidden-surface refinement. Powered by ARKit, Object Capture, Core ML, SceneKit, Metal, and Core Image. Output is upscaled so the minimum dimension is at least 960 px — print-ready or share-ready. SHARE Export high-resolution PNGs to Photos, Messages, AirDrop, or any app with a share sheet. Available in English and French. For iPhone and iPad (iOS 18 or later) and Mac with Apple silicon (macOS 15 or later). LiDAR capture and Object Capture scans are iPhone and iPad only. Capture a scene. Pick a pattern. Stare into it.

Features

Flip part of a scene. Break it into pixels. Bend it like light through glass. PictOrb places a movable optical lens over the live camera view, transforming the scene wherever you put it. Choose a round Orb or a rounded, rotatable Cube. Drag from anywhere in the preview to move the lens, pinch anywhere to resize it, and rotate Cube with two fingers. Use the vertical slider to zoom only the scene inside the lens; its shape and position stay put. The available zoom-out range adapts to the framing and lens position. Touch and hold to adjust focus and exposure. See every change live, then capture a high-resolution silent photo or 1080p video at 30 fps. Import a photo or video and add a lens to it. Choose media from the in-app gallery, or pass a photo or video to “Edit Media in PictOrb” in Shortcuts and start editing. Turn a still photo into a silent video as you move the lens. For videos, choose a starting point, play while adjusting the lens, and save up to the point where you stop. Keep the original audio or mute it. Your originals stay unchanged; each result is saved as a new creation. EFFECTS • Plain: Keeps the scene’s colors while adding the clear glass edge and highlights • Flip: Reverses the image inside the lens • Pixel: Pixelates the image inside the lens • Crystal: Creates crystal-like refraction • Shine: Casts iridescent light from the center and beyond the lens • Stained Glass: Turns the scene's colors and boundaries into stained glass • Prism: Separates colors • Kaleido: Splits the image like a kaleidoscope • Fisheye: Applies fisheye-style distortion • Aura: Refracts the image through a slowly moving liquid wave • Sepia: Adds warm sepia tones inside the lens • Mono: Turns only the lens interior black and white • Snow: Snow keeps falling and settles at the bottom, responding to tilt and lens movement • Rain: Adds falling rain and small droplets inside the lens Plain, Flip, Pixel, Crystal, Sepia, and Mono are free to use with both photos and videos. In Settings, show, hide, and reorder effects to fit your workflow. PictOrb Pro is a one-time purchase. It lets you save photos and videos made with Shine, Stained Glass, Prism, Kaleido, Fisheye, Aura, Snow, and Rain, both when capturing and when editing imported media. Preview every Pro effect before you buy. There is no subscription. CAPTURE FEATURES • High-resolution silent photos • 1080p video at 30 fps • Front and rear cameras • Portrait and landscape orientations • FULL, 1:1, 4:5, 3:4, and 9:16 capture ratios • Front camera mirroring option • Orb or Cube shape, position, size, Cube angle, and effect parameters • Zoom the scene inside the lens without resizing it • Optional effect-free copies saved with captured photos and videos • Continuous zoom with Camera Control on supported iPhones • In-app gallery for media saved by PictOrb IMPORT AND EDIT • Add effects to a photo and save a new image • Adjust lens-only zoom when editing imported photos or videos • Choose a photo or video from the in-app gallery • Receive a photo or video from Shortcuts and open the editor • Create a silent video from a photo while moving the lens • Record effects on a video from your chosen start to your stopping point • Keep or mute original audio, preview the result, and try again • Preserve the input aspect ratio and export video at up to 1080p, 30 fps Launch PictOrb from supported Lock Screen controls or Camera Control. Creations captured while locked are imported into the gallery after you unlock your iPhone. Photos, videos, and effects are processed on your device. Capture and editing media are not uploaded to a developer server. No account, ads, or tracking.
