ISOBEAST

Stop logging dynamic repetitions for a static workout. Muscles respond to tension, and isometric bar training is the ultimate way to build raw, injury-resistant strength. But standard fitness trackers are built for dynamic gyms. They do not understand force-based holds, strap-slot heights, or the precise progressive overload rules required for true isometric gains. Enter ISOBEAST. ISOBEAST is a premium, high-contrast training log designed specifically for isometric bar (ISO-BAR) equipment. By tracking exact force, hold duration, and strap slot positions (1–36), ISOBEAST removes the guesswork and guides you through deterministic progression rules to ensure consistent, measurable strength increases. PRECISION ISOMETRIC LOGGING Log force, hold duration, and exact ISO-BAR hook slots (1–36) to record performance at specific muscle lengths. The speed-first UI lets you log a set in under three taps. DETERMINISTIC PROGRESSION ENGINE ISOBEAST automatically scores sets (Success, Neutral, Failure) and updates targets using transparent rules like double progression, time-target holds, and average-capacity tracking. BUILT-IN ISO-BAR / ISOCHAIN / ISOMAX PROGRAMS Load read-only training templates straight from the manual: • The Promethean (6-second holds with double progression) • 6x6 (fixed percentage of tested 1RM) • Military Power (max-effort singles with slot variation) • Iron Man (long holds for conditioning) • One-Rep Max Testing (averages peak force attempts) DEVELOPER-PREMIUM UX • Pre-filled target inputs based on previous session data. • Custom haptic logging alerts for clear tactile confirmations. • Automated rest timers with skip commands and background notifications. • Persistent Active Workout banner to resume or discard sessions safely. PR VAULT & TRENDS Track your all-time bests per slot/mode and watch your strength curve rise with interactive volume charts. SECURE SYNC & PRIVACY ISOBEAST securely stores your profile, routines, and workout logs in a private cloud database. All logins and tokens are encrypted and kept in the iOS secure keychain. We collect no tracking data and never sell your personal information. Unlock true tension-based strength. Track with ISOBEAST. Terms of Use: https://isobeast.app/terms/
Treadwell
Accurately measures your real treadmill speed and distance using your phone's camera and LiDAR sensor. It helps you understand discrepancies between treadmill displays and actual performance, and can calibrate machines for precise training.
- Real-time speed and pace measurement
- Treadmill calibration
- Workout tracking with pause/resume
- Accurate distance reporting
- LiDAR sensor integration

Your treadmill said 5 miles. You actually ran 4 miles, and your watch said something else entirely. You'd never have known. A treadmill doesn't measure your speed. The display shows the number it was told to hit, from motor RPM and an assumed belt size. Belt slip, wear, and drift push your real speed off that number, and the belt slows a touch every time your foot lands. So the "6.0" you're staring at is really a guess, and your watch just copies it. Treadwell measures the belt itself. Hold your phone steady over the running belt for a few seconds. Using the camera and the LiDAR sensor on your iPhone Pro, the app watches the belt surface move and works out how fast it's actually traveling, then shows you your true pace and distance. WHAT YOU GET • Quick Measure: point, hold for a few seconds, get your real speed and pace. Tell it what your treadmill is set to and it shows you exactly how far off that number is. • Calibrate a treadmill: measure a few points once, and the app learns that specific machine. After that it tells you the true speed for any setting on the display, or which setting to dial in to hit a target pace. • Workout mode: lock in your measured speed and let the app track your time, distance, and pace for the run, with pause, resume, and change-pace on the fly. BUILT HONEST This app would rather tell you nothing than tell you a wrong number. If it can't get a clean read (bad angle, belt out of frame, phone not steady) it says so and asks you to try again. It never invents a number to fill the gap. So when it gives you a pace, you can trust it. WHO IT'S FOR Runners who train on a treadmill and want to know what they actually ran. If you've ever finished a "tempo run" wondering whether you really hit the pace, or watched the treadmill pile up more miles than your legs felt, this is for you. REQUIREMENTS Treadwell needs the LiDAR sensor, so it requires an iPhone Pro or Pro Max (iPhone 12 Pro or later). Best results on recent Pro models. iPhone only. The camera reads your treadmill belt's logo or markings as they pass, so it needs a belt with something visible on it. Nearly every gym treadmill has one; some plain home belts don't. Measuring works best at your usual running speed. One safety note: step to the side of the belt to measure. Never stand on a moving belt to hold your phone.

Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: ISOBEAST at every 2 weeks against Treadwell's every 3 months. ISOBEAST also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
