Hommychat vs Random Regulars

Hommychat is a private AI communication practice app for conversations that deserve preparation. Choose a goal-based template or create your own scenario. Included features: - Templates for workplace, personal, and everyday communication - Multi-round text Practice - Private multi-role AI Practice Labs with typed or spoken input, speech recognition, pressure controls, AI read-aloud, and coach feedback - An eight-seat Practice Lab layout where empty seats add AI roles and occupied seats remove AI roles - Custom Practice Lab creation and locally saved Practice Lab setups - AI Assistant chat plus Rewrite, Profile Review, and Post Draft tools - Quick Practice for fast risk and wording feedback - Written Review Summary after completed practice - Optional narrated Audio Coaching Review for 200 Credits per successful generation - Scenario Image generation - Local History and Favorites - Free replay of saved audio - Local Hide, Block, Report, and Restore controls for supported AI practice templates, roles, sessions, and messages Text Practice, Practice Labs, AI Assistant, written reviews, image generation, Practice Lab Audio Replay, and replay of saved audio are free. Credits are used only when the user explicitly creates a new narrated Audio Coaching Review from a completed practice. The fixed price is 200 Credits, charged only after the audio is generated and saved successfully. The Practice Lab uses an eight-seat visual layout labeled AI-ONLY PRACTICE · LOCAL SESSION. Its AI ROLES count shows only the AI roles currently added to the rehearsal. These elements do not represent real people or a public network. Hommychat does not provide person matching, public rooms, social feeds, user-to-user messaging, gifting, tipping, paid companionship, or communication with real people. Practice records, Favorites, generated images, and saved audio files are stored locally on the device. When an AI feature is requested, the relevant text, recognized voice transcript, or image prompt is sent to SiliconFlow for AI generation. Microphone audio is handled through iOS Speech Recognition; Hommychat sends the resulting transcript, not a live social voice stream, to SiliconFlow. Hommychat applies local multilingual rule-based checks to supported text inputs, generated text responses, and image prompts. Generated text is checked before display or read-aloud, and image prompts are checked before generation. The five main tabs are Home, Templates, Practice, History, and Me. Templates open text rehearsals. Practice contains private AI Practice Lab templates, a Create action for custom labs, and locally saved Practice Lab setups. History contains local rehearsal history and an AI Assistant entry. Me contains Credits, local records, profile settings, and Blocked & Hidden management. Make friends as an adult. Actually. Random Regulars puts you at a small table of strangers in Columbus — dinner, drinks, a Sunday treat, or a Saturday morning walk — and lets the rest happen naturally. No swiping, no networking, no pressure. Just show up. HOW IT WORKS 1. Join and tell us a little about yourself 2. Tap "Going" on an event that sounds fun 3. The spot is revealed two days before 4. Meet your table — the group chat opens on event day, so nobody walks in cold 5. Rate the night afterward. Click with someone? If it's mutual, a private chat opens — that's how strangers become regulars WHAT'S ON EVERY WEEK • Dinners — small tables at Columbus restaurants, capped at six on purpose • Trivia — same bar every week, come test your useless knowledge • Nightcaps — one bar, everyone welcome, nothing to decide • Sweet Treats — Sunday afternoons, coffee and something sweet • Runs & Walks — Saturday mornings at a social pace COME ALONE. THAT'S KIND OF THE POINT. Almost everyone shows up not knowing a soul — so nobody's the odd one out. You don't need a plus-one, you don't need to be outgoing, and you don't need to be single. Everyone at your table said yes to meeting new people. BUILT FOR REAL LIFE • Reminders before your events, and a heads-up the moment your spot is revealed • Group chat with your table before you arrive • Private ratings keep the community friendly — and you control who you're seated with • Your safety matters: public venues only, verified members, and organizers a message away SIMPLE MEMBERSHIP One membership covers every event. Pay once for the time you want — no subscription, no auto-renew, no card stored. At the table you order what you like and pay your own tab. COLUMBUS, THIS IS FOR YOU.
