About

Shorelife

Features

Shorelife helps California surfers, marine biologists, swimmers, and parents decide whether today’s water is worth entering. I built it because bacteria data is scattered, official samples lag real conditions, and advisories are hard to compare. Shorelife fills the dark space between weekly physical samples. By leveraging live CDIP, CeNCOOS, and EPA UV covariates to forecast daily risk, the application provides high-fidelity, real-time context that physical sampling simply cannot achieve.

Sold-out doesn't mean out of luck. CampSage shows you every open campsite on one live map — filtered to the trip you actually want — and catches cancellations at parks that are already full. SEE WHAT'S OPEN AT A GLANCE Most camping apps make you pick a park and wait. CampSage flips that: open the map and every available site is right there, closest first. Tap a pin and you see exactly what's open — dates, number of nights, how many sites — without digging. BUILT FOR REAL TRIPS Filter the map down to the trip you're planning: • 2 or 3 nights, or a specific weekend • Sites open on your exact dates • Group camping — see sites open together AND right next to each other • Beaches, lakes, rivers, national forests • Cell coverage per site, from real camper reports CATCH CANCELLATIONS The best campgrounds book out months ahead — but people cancel constantly. CampSage watches for those openings and shows them the moment they appear. Set a free alert on any campground and we'll email you when a site frees up, so you can rebook before anyone else. KNOW BEFORE YOU GO Every park page shows the live weather forecast for that campground's exact location, recent cancellation history, cell coverage, and a plain-English summary of what's available and how to book. WHERE WE COVER CampSage reads availability from 25 official reservation systems across 38 US states and Canadian provinces and territories: United States — Recreation.gov (national parks, national forests, BLM, Army Corps), plus the state park systems of California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, Ohio, Minnesota, Florida, Missouri, Texas, Indiana and Montana. Canada — Parks Canada, plus BC, Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories and Yukon. Campgrounds in other states, including Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, New Mexico, Maine, North Carolina, Tennessee and Alaska, are covered through Recreation.gov. NOT A GOVERNMENT APP CampSage is an independent, unofficial app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorized by, or operated by any government entity, including the National Park Service, the USDA Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, Recreation.gov, Parks Canada, or any state, provincial or territorial park agency. CampSage does not take reservations or payments for campsites — every booking happens on the operator's own official site. Weather forecasts and alerts come from the US National Weather Service (weather.gov), and wildfire information from InciWeb (inciweb.wildfire.gov), the AirNow Fire and Smoke Map (fire.airnow.gov) and the BC Wildfire Service. Availability changes fast, so always confirm on the operator's own site before you travel. NO ACCOUNT, NO CLUTTER No sign-up to browse the map. No ads. Free email alerts. Just the fastest way to see what's actually open and catch a site when it frees up. Plan the trip. Catch the cancellation. Go camping.
