AllMySat is the satellite app built for radio amateurs and satellite enthusiasts. Point your antenna in the field, log the contact in seconds, and plan your next pass from your desk. FOCUS MODE, BUILT FOR LIVE OPERATIONS A large, high-contrast antenna alignment overlay you can read in direct sunlight, a smooth live polar chart, and real-time Doppler correction, all designed for hands-free use. NEVER LOSE A CONTACT AGAIN Talk through your pass and AllMySat records it. Your voice log gets attached to the contact automatically, so you can relisten later instead of scrambling to write down a callsign mid-pass. Add a photo as a souvenir, and every contact keeps its frequency, gridsquare, and mode, ready to review or export. AMSAT & QRZ, BUILT IN Browse AMSAT satellite status reports and publish your own from the app, with a ready-made, curated list of AMSAT satellites. Tap any callsign to pull up a QRZ lookup instantly. SOTA & POTA SPOTS Track live SOTA and POTA activations alongside satellite passes for combined field days. WATCH SATELLITES IN REAL TIME A live 3D globe, a 2D map with ground tracks and day/night terminator, an AR compass view to find satellites overhead with your camera, and Time Travel mode for past or future positions. PASS PREDICTION THAT RESPECTS YOUR SETUP Elevation, azimuth, and duration, filtered by your antenna's range. Custom alerts from 1 minute to 1 hour before acquisition, and the KP index to catch the best geomagnetic conditions. 35,000+ OBJECTS, UPDATED EVERY 6 HOURS Payloads, rocket bodies, and debris, with transmitter frequencies, launch metadata, and positions refreshed every 6 hours. Build custom lists to stay organized. STAY AHEAD OF WHAT'S IN ORBIT Upcoming launches, new deployments, and recent reentries. Know what's changing before it happens. Where is the ISS now? When will your next satellite pass begin? SatellitePlus brings a 3D Earth, polar radar and pass predictions together in a tactile, metal-and-glass observation console. FIND YOUR SATELLITE Rotate Earth, select an orbit, or search by satellite name and NORAD ID. Filter by group, country or orbit type. Keep a followed list so your favorite targets are easy to find again. PLAN YOUR NEXT PASS Check direction, elevation and distance on the radar. The pass dossier brings together rise, peak and set times, maximum elevation and orbit-data age. One active local reminder is included free. Following a satellite does not turn on notifications. TAKE YOUR TARGETS WITH YOU In-app following and phone console controls are free. Pro is a one-time purchase for Home Screen widgets, Apple Watch, and Dynamic Island with its Lock Screen Live Activity. No subscription. Restore your purchase from the in-app store. On Apple Watch, view your followed list and a wrist-aligned polar trajectory. Sync with iPhone to store the next 48 hours of trajectories locally, including positions below the horizon. The cache works offline within its saved period and needs a new sync to refresh. Start an orbit session yourself to see it on the Lock Screen and, on supported iPhones, Dynamic Island. System update timing applies; these surfaces are not continuous background tracking. READY FOR EXPLORATION No app account is required. Location access is optional; without it, a default observer is used. A bundled catalog and local cache keep basic exploration available when a network update is unavailable. iPad gives your instruments more room in portrait and landscape. Predictions use public orbital data. A pass above the horizon does not guarantee naked-eye visibility: illumination, weather, obstacles and data age matter. SatellitePlus is for personal observation and learning, not navigation or safety-critical use.

Verdict
AllMySat and SatellitePlus are too close to call on the numbers: across 6 compared parameters — price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. AllMySat sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $34.99 per year and SatellitePlus sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
AllMySat ships an update every 9 days, SatellitePlus every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
