Cellr maps every cell tower around you so you can find the closest signal source, point your antenna, and understand your coverage. WHY CELLR? Whether you live in a rural area on the edge of coverage, work from an RV, run a wireless ISP, or just want to know which carrier owns the tower outside your window — Cellr turns the invisible cellular network into a clear, interactive map. FEATURES • Live tower map — pan and zoom to see LTE, 5G, GSM, UMTS, and CDMA towers around your location • Distance and bearing — Cellr calculates how far each tower is from you and which compass direction to face • Built-in compass — align your phone (or directional antenna) at any tower with the live magnetometer compass • Tower details — radio type, carrier, MCC/MNC, LAC, cell ID, sample count, and approximate range • Coverage overlay — terrain-aware viewshed shows the line-of-sight footprint of any tower • Carrier filter — show only towers from a specific carrier (Premium) • Nearest list — sorted list of the closest towers with quick-tap details WHO IT'S FOR • Rural residents looking for the strongest signal • Travelers, vanlifers, and RV users planning routes around coverage • Network engineers and antenna installers aligning directional gear • Curious tinkerers who want to know what's broadcasting nearby PRIVACY Location is used only on-device to compute distance and bearing to nearby towers — Cellr does not sell or share your precise location. Tower data comes from public crowdsourced datasets. NOTE Tower positions are crowdsourced approximations of cell-site locations. Coverage estimates are computed from public terrain data and are intended as planning aids, not guarantees of service. GPS Test Satellite Tracker combines a live satellite radar with a real GPS/GNSS status screen and a GPS accuracy test. RADAR Track Starlink, the ISS, navigation satellites, communication satellites and other orbital objects on a compass radar, positioned relative to your location. Satellite positions are predicted from public orbital data (TLE) using the SGP4 model. GPS / GNSS STATUS See your device's real GPS fix from iOS — position, altitude, speed and location accuracy. Alongside it, view the navigation satellites (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou, QZSS, SBAS and NavIC) calculated to be above your horizon, split into "in use" and "in view," with signal estimated from elevation. Because iOS does not expose the receiver's raw satellite list, the satellite view is computed from orbit data — while your position and accuracy are the device's real values. ACCURACY TEST Leave your device still for 1, 5 or 10 minutes and see how steady its position really is. Every fix is plotted on a scatter chart with CEP50 and CEP95 circles, alongside RMS, 2DRMS, maximum drift and height statistics. Measure against the session average or against a known coordinate, and compare the accuracy iOS reports with the scatter actually measured. The test uses iOS system positioning (Core Location), not raw GNSS measurements. FEATURES - Live satellite radar for Starlink, ISS and orbital objects - Real GPS fix quality, accuracy and location data - GNSS satellites overhead: in use vs in view - Stationary GPS accuracy test with CEP50 / CEP95 and scatter plot - Full orbit track and telemetry for any satellite - Signal indicators, NORAD IDs, footprint, altitude and more Terms of Use (EULA): https://developer-barseghyan.github.io/satellite-tracker-support/terms Privacy Policy: https://developer-barseghyan.github.io/satellite-tracker-support/privacy

Verdict
Cellr and GPS Test Satellite Tracker both sit at 3.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 50% of GPS Test Satellite Tracker's written reviews are positive against 0% of Cellr's. Cellr's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (10 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cellr sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and GPS Test Satellite Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.4 for Cellr against 3.5 for GPS Test Satellite Tracker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cellr has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 0% of Cellr's written reviews are positive against 50% of GPS Test Satellite Tracker's.
Cellr ships an update every 3 weeks, GPS Test Satellite Tracker every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
