Nurture ADHD Plus
Read full descriptionHide full description
Nurture ADHD Plus is ongoing support for parents of children with ADHD - and through them, for the kids themselves. It is built for the ones who have read the books, tried the charts, held it together all day, and still end up standing in a hallway at 4pm with no idea what to do next. A place that has your back on a Tuesday, not another program to get through. WHAT'S INSIDE From Tarryn A short, practical post every week - a script for the exact thing your kid just said, or a guide to get through the moment before it hits. Written by an OT who has stood in the same hallway, not condensed from a textbook. Answers, without the search spiral A searchable library of short answers to the questions parents actually ask, filed by the moment you are standing in - meltdowns, sensory, school, mornings, routines, focus, siblings, self-esteem. No more hours of googling at 9pm and ending up on advice written for a different kind of kid. You find what you need in about a minute, and the behavior starts making sense instead of feeling personal. Live Q&A sessions with Tarryn Regular live sessions where you bring the question you cannot Google. Send it in ahead of time whether or not you can make it, and Tarryn works through the thing you are actually stuck on rather than a general version of it. Every session is recorded, so you can watch it back when the house is quiet. Workshops that go deeper Longer sessions on the themes parents ask about most, from someone who has the clinical training and has lived it at home as well. Ready whenever you have the half hour, not scheduled for a time that does not suit you. A community that already gets it A moderated feed of parents who have been exactly here. You do not have to explain the backstory first, and nobody will tell you to be more consistent. This is the part members say they did not know they needed. WHO IS BEHIND IT Tarryn Poulton, pediatric occupational therapist, with 10 years spent treating children with ADHD, and a parent raising a child with ADHD. Her training is why it works. The fact that she has had the same 6:45am fight over school shoes, in her own house, with her own kid, is why it is realistic. She is not writing this from the other side of it. NOT ONE MORE THING TO KEEP UP WITH No streak. No backlog. No catching up on what you missed. What matters comes to you a few times a week through the app, without you going looking for it. And when the hard moment arrives - the one at bedtime, the one at 2am, the one in the school parking lot - you are not starting from scratch or waiting on a callback. The answer is already there. So is everyone else who has been in that exact moment. THE MOMENTS THIS IS FOR The sock that ended the morning. The homework that ended the afternoon. The child who holds it together all day at school and falls apart the second they see you. The thing you said that you promised yourself you would not say. Every one of those has an explanation. Most parenting advice never gets near it, because it was written for a different nervous system - and when it fails, parents are the ones left carrying it. FOR PARENTS, CARERS AND GRANDPARENTS Of children with ADHD, from the early years through the teenage ones. Whether the diagnosis is new, years old, or still a question you are sitting with. A NOTE ON WHAT THIS IS Nurture ADHD Plus is education and community support. It is not therapy, not diagnosis, and not a crisis service.
