Your fitness. Your project. A free workout logger with Smart Rotation — adaptive routines built from your training history, goals, and equipment. Log sets, track progress, get personalized workouts. No subscription, no paywall, no ads. — Why this exists — I wanted to build a consistent workout routine. So I tried the apps everyone recommends. They all wanted $15 to $30 per month just to log sets and reps. I'm a developer. So I built my own. Fit Project is what I use every day at the gym. It does the things a serious workout log should do, and skips the things that get in the way. — Smart Rotation — A rule-based engine that builds your week from: • Your equipment — every bar, plate, dumbbell, and machine you've configured • Your goal — strength, hypertrophy, or endurance • Your frequency and session length • Your real training history — muscle fatigue, weekly volume, recently used exercises The algorithm runs on your phone. Same inputs, same workout. Not AI, not a black box. — Logging that doesn't compromise — • Working sets and warm-up sets, tracked separately • Reps in Reserve (RIR) per exercise • Rest timer that adjusts on the fly, with a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island (iOS 16.1+) • Weight in kg or lb — your choice • Drift warning when you accidentally log 100× more than last time • Per-exercise progress inside the workout: strength curve, total volume, recent history • Exercise notes that stay with the lift, and a session note saved with each workout • Targets that re-prescribe themselves when you add, remove, or reorder exercises — Equipment that matches your gym — • Inventory your exact bars, plates with quantities, dumbbell pairs, kettlebells, machines, cables, bench, pull-up bar • Smart Rotation prescribes only weights you can actually load • Custom weights for non-standard equipment • Bodyweight and added-weight modes for pull-ups and dips — Progress you can read — • Strength curve — estimated 1RM over 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or all-time • Weekly volume with trend percentage • Muscle group balance — radar chart over 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or all-time • Top exercises with sparkline trends • Per-exercise session history with set summaries and session notes — Templates when you want them — • Build your own routines, drag-reorder, set values to "auto" or fix them • Browse curated splits — Push/Pull/Legs, Upper/Lower, Full Body • Mix Smart Rotation and templates day by day — Privacy by design — All data is on your device. Workout history is encrypted with SQLCipher. No account. No analytics. No third-party SDKs. No tracking. The app makes no network calls after install. Export everything as a compressed JSON backup and import it back, any time. — What it doesn't have — No social feed. No coach DMs. No premium tier to unlock the plate calculator. No ads. No "transform your life" copy. No Apple Watch, HealthKit, or cloud sync in this release. Just a tool to track the work. — Free, forever — The core app is free. There is no subscription, no paywall on logging, no upsell. If a paid tier is ever added, the things you use today will stay free. — Built by someone who lifts — Fit Project started as a personal tool — something used every single day at the gym. If something feels off, that's a bug. — Languages: English, French. More on the way.

Every set you grind out deserves to be counted. Basalt Lab is the data discipline of a spreadsheet, built into native iOS: you train, the app keeps score, and your progress becomes visible, session after session. Two modes, depending on how you train: • Manual: log a set in a few taps and get back under the bar. • Lab (Pro): validate with a swipe and the rest rolls into the next set. Your phone fades into the background. YOUR SESSION, WITHOUT FRICTION • Your previous session replayed set by set (Pro): you know exactly what to beat today, and today's load wins when it's heavier. • Apple Watch: dial in reps and weight with the Digital Crown and log the set from your wrist, phone stays in the bag. • Live Activities + Dynamic Island: your session stays in sight on the Lock Screen; in Lab mode, your rest and your next set too. • 500 exercises, supersets (Pro), swap an exercise mid-session. • 113 ready-made workouts, sorted by goal and ready to start (41 free): you pick, the app runs it. PROOF YOU'RE MOVING • 47 statistics (14 included, +33 with Pro) built around the only question that matters: are you actually progressing? • Plateau detection (Pro): know it's stalling before you lose weeks to it. • Your 1RM projected at 3 and 6 months (Pro): see where you're headed, not just where you've been. • Push/Pull ratios, strength radar, an overtraining alert when your volume runs past your average (Pro). • Regularity heatmap, streaks and trophies: your consistency finally shows. • Your session heart rate (Apple Watch): the curve, your average and your max on your recap, plus your recovery with Pro. • Add past sessions to your calendar (Pro): your history stays complete, even when life gets in the way. • A session recap you can share as an image, when you have something to show. WHO IT'S FOR For serious lifters who want to progress without noise. No imposed coach, no childish badges, no social feed: nobody to impress, just you and your numbers. FREE VS PRO Free: unlimited workout journal, 14 statistics over the last 4 weeks, 3 custom sessions and 5 custom exercises (4 exercises per session), Manual mode, Watch, Live Activities, widget, trophies. Pro (monthly, or annual with a free trial): Lab mode, set-by-set prefill, the other 72 ready-made workouts, supersets and session comparison, past sessions, unlimited customization, unlimited stats history, +33 advanced statistics and the strength radar. THE METHOD, DOCUMENTED The average lifter who tracks their progress does better than 66% of those who don't (Harkin et al., 2016). Same program, app-guided: the sessions get done. Alone, one in two gets skipped (Gavanda et al., 2025). Studies on the methods: not on the app itself. YOUR DATA, YOURS Your workouts, loads and health data are never shared. Once you're signed in, the app works offline: your history lives on your device and belongs to you. Backups hosted in the EU (Paris). You rack the phone, you grab the bar. We keep count. Basalt Lab Pro: auto-renewable subscription. • Monthly: $7.99/month. • Annual: $49.99/year, i.e. $4.17/month. The annual plan starts with a free trial; the trial is granted once per Apple Account. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renew in your Apple Account settings. Prices shown for the U.S. store; they may vary by country.
