About

BookDiary

A quiet reading journal for readers who don't want to share. BookDiary is for the kind of reader who keeps margin notes, who rereads a beloved book every winter, who copies favorite passages into a notebook by hand. It's a place to record your reading life — privately, beautifully, on your phone alone. ― Why BookDiary exists ― Most reading apps are built around community: ratings, followers, public reviews. For some readers, that's the appeal. For others, it gets in the way of the book itself. BookDiary is for the second kind. No accounts. No social feed. No data sent anywhere. Just you and your books. 【Five tabs, one quiet space】 ●Shelf — your finished books, beautifully arranged ●Reading — the book you're with right now ●To Read — the pile waiting patiently ●Quotes — passages worth keeping, in their own tab ●Records — monthly stats, yearly bests, gentle insights 【First reading and rereadings, kept apart】 Some books are worth returning to. BookDiary records your first reading separately from each rereading, so you can see how your relationship with a book changes over the years. 【A dedicated tab for quotes】 Beautiful washi-paper cards for the lines that stay with you. Add page numbers, why it moved you, mark favorites. Browse by book, by favorite, or pull up a quote at random. 【Your own reading awards】 Six categories — book of the year, most moving, most reread, most memorable line, unexpected find, brave read. A private ceremony, just for you. 【Genre-based covers, even without an image】 No cover photo? No problem. Nine genres each have their own washi-paper fallback with traditional ornaments and accent colors. Your shelf looks intentional, even when the books don't have artwork. 【Who it's for】 - Readers who want to read without seeing other people's ratings - Notebook keepers moving from paper to digital - Anyone who rereads beloved books over the years - Quote collectors who want a beautiful place for found lines - Lovers of dark academia and quiet aesthetics - People who avoid apps that require accounts 【Privacy and trust】 Your reading life stays on your phone. - No account required - No data sent to any server - No barcode lookups, no external book APIs - No ad tracking, no analytics on your reading What you write here goes nowhere else.

About

Rera

Features

Rera is a personal bookshelf app for binding your own traces to the books you read. "Rera" means "wind" in the Ainu language. It is not an app for producing a tidy reading log. The sentence you underlined, the page you couldn't help photographing, the note you scribbled - it is a tool for keeping who you were at the time inside a single book. Finished books line up on a shelf you can flip back through any time. KEY FEATURES [Wood-grain bookshelf] Switch between a shelf view that lines books up by cover and a list view. Reorder and delete freely. [Three ways to add a book] Type a title, photograph a cover or barcode with the camera, or scan a barcode to auto-fill. Put books on the shelf however you like. [Barcode auto-fill] Scan the barcode on the back of a book and the title, author, and cover are pulled in from a bibliographic database. No typing - straight to the shelf. [Bind your traces] Attach any number of photos, screenshots, and notes to each book. The page that caught your eye, the line you want to quote, what you were thinking at the time - kept as if pasted into the book. [Highlights and bold] Mark words inside a note with a highlighter or bold to emphasize the lines that stayed with you. [Reading-pass tabs] Add a tab each time you reread: "1st," "2nd," and so on. The same book, a different you each time - keep that change too. [Back-tap quick note] Tap the back of your device to jot a note instantly. Even without a book open, you won't miss the moment of inspiration. Attach it to a book later from the inbox. [Reading dashboard] A dashboard for browsing the number of books and statistics on the traces you've bound. [Export as PDF and ZIP] Compile your shelf into a single PDF - vertical for poetry and Japanese books, horizontal for technical or photo-heavy ones, with a washi-paper feel. Or back everything up as a ZIP of books, photos, and notes. [Three languages + washi tones] Japanese / English / Simplified Chinese. A calm, paper-textured light theme throughout. WHO IT IS FOR - Anyone who underlines books or keeps pages as photos - Anyone who would rather keep raw impressions and scribbles than tidy summaries - Anyone who rereads the same book (keep how you change each time) - Anyone who wants a paper reading notebook in digital form too - Anyone who likes to look at a shelf and reflect on the reader they used to be PRIVACY No account required. Books, photos, and notes are all stored on your device and are never sent to the developer or any third party. The only communication is sending an ISBN code to auto-fill bibliographic data when you scan a barcode - no personal information is ever sent.
