& IS YOUR IDENTITY, AND IT BELONGS TO YOU Most of what the internet knows about you was collected without asking. & starts from what the public web already says about you, lets you decide what is really you, and turns it into an &tag you control. YOUR &TAG A short name that belongs to you, like &jane. &tags are claimed through a community's & site. Once you hold one, sign in to the app with the phone number you claimed with. If you don't have one yet, the app adds you to the waitlist, and & will come back to you when &tags are given out. BUILD YOUR IDENTITY & searches the web for pages about you and asks which ones are really you. From the pages you keep, it suggests signals: small facts about you, like your work, your interests or your city. Edit them or swipe them away. Nothing changes until you accept. YOUR BIBLIOGRAPHY & finds what you've written, where you're quoted, what's been written about you and where you've been recorded, grouped by kind. Add a reference it missed, remove one that isn't yours, and ask it questions: every answer names the references behind it. YOUR COMMUNITY Join a community through its & site. Until it admits you, the app tells you your request is pending. Once you're in, ask the app about your community, answered only from what its members have chosen to publish. PUBLISH WHEN YOU'RE READY Your &tag page is a bare card until you publish. When you publish, everything on it becomes public, and the app tells you so first. Your bibliography has its own switch. Share your page by link or QR code. YOUR IDENTITY IN YOUR AI ASSISTANT Connect & to Claude, ChatGPT or any assistant that speaks MCP. Each request to connect arrives on your phone, naming the assistant and what it can read, and nothing is shared until you allow it. An assistant can read your &tag but never change it. WHAT'S A SIGNAL? A small fact about you: "I prefer morning meetings", "vegetarian", "I love dogs". Together they give the people and tools in your life the shape and context of you. BUILT THIS WAY ON PURPOSE & is made by The & Company, a Public Benefit Corporation. Purpose before profit is in the charter, not the marketing. We don't sell your data and we don't run ads.
