Tapko Stomp is an AUv3 audio-to-MIDI trigger for live performance. It listens to your incoming audio, learns what your hits sound like, and turns them into MIDI notes or CC with velocity. It's tailored towards live loopers, but works for anyone who wants to play MIDI from any audio source: a stomp box, a guitar body, a cajón or a drum. Tapko Stomp is actively developed, with continuous refinements and new features inspired by real musicians. Built for fast setup on stage: - Insert Tapko Stomp on an audio track - Route its MIDI to your sampler or drum app - Tap Learn and play a few hits, soft to hard - Play, and only your real hits send notes Features - AUv3 effect with MIDI output - Two triggers, A and B, that each learn their own sound and send their own note or CC - Guided setup in three steps per trigger: teach it your sound, set how easily it fires, choose what it sends - Learn sets the background level, frequency range and velocity range from your own playing - Hit Match ignores sounds that don't resemble your learned hits - Ring Guard and Retrigger Guard so one hit sends one note - Ignore Sounds (Beta): teach it chords and notes that must never trigger - Low Latency mode for sharp, fast attacks - Velocity shaping per trigger: feel, floor, ceiling and boost - Send a MIDI note or CC, on any channel, per trigger - Send Test button to check your routing without a real hit - Live hit lamp with velocity readout, input meter and background level - Help on every control - AU preset support in supported hosts Great For - Live stomp and percussion triggering in a looper - Playing drum samples from a guitar body - Layering one-shots on live drum sources - Compact iOS and iPadOS live rigs Use Tapko Stomp in AUv3-compatible hosts such as AUM, Loopy Pro, Cubasis and other iOS DAWs that support AUv3 MIDI routing.
