Comix Reader is a fast, focused way to read CBZ comics, manga, and webtoons on iPhone and iPad. Point it at a folder of CBZ files — on your device, in any cloud-synced folder, or on your own server — and it organizes everything into a clean library with cover thumbnails and per-series progress. CONTINUOUS SCROLL Read a whole chapter — or a whole series — without ever tapping "next page." When you reach the bottom of one chapter, the next one appends automatically. Perfect for webtoons and long-form manga. YOUR LIBRARY, YOUR FILES Comix Reader doesn't host or sell content. You bring your own CBZ files. Drop them into a folder and Comix indexes the series and chapters automatically. SYNC ACROSS DEVICES Store your library in a cloud-synced folder — including iCloud Drive — and your reading progress, favorites, and completed series stay in sync across your devices. No account required. REMOTE LIBRARY Run the included web server on your home machine and read your full library over your network or VPN — no need to copy files to every device. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT A passcode-protected Hidden section keeps selected series off the main library view, unlockable with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode. THOUGHTFUL READING EXPERIENCE - Crisp width-capped image decode for high-resolution webtoon pages - Lazy loading — only nearby pages stay in memory - Auto-saved bookmarks per chapter (page and scroll position) - Native edge-swipe to dismiss the reader - Continue Reading card that picks up exactly where you left off NO ADS. NO ACCOUNTS. NO TRACKING. Comix Reader collects no personal data and requires no sign-in.

iPhone/iPad: Try the first 20 pages per book free. All pages require a one-time in-app purchase. No monthly fees. For archives, PDFs and image folders. Manage your own files and ebook metadata from ebookjapan, DMM, Kindle, BOOK WALKER, Rakuten Kobo and BookLive. Review before adding; prevent duplicates and preserve existing covers. Resume interrupted updates or run a full recheck. New in-app online entries: Kobo (kobo.com), verified with a free book in a Rakuten ID-linked Japan/English library; Kindle (Amazon.com/co.uk/de), each checked with a free book for import, re-import and official reading. Other countries and large/multipage shelves are unverified. Overseas BOOKWALKER: official links only. New overseas entries exclude Safari Sharing, extensions and general saved HTML. Keep the login screen/text across app switches; use standard Paste. Shortcuts can open/search the shelf and be disabled in settings. Spine recognition, Japanese Siri AI and Google Play Books are deferred. Use cover or list views, search/filter tags, add whole-book notes and organize series across stores, including manual merge/separation. Each purchase retains its own reading link. Send candidates from supported shelves displayed in Safari using the share sheet. Japanese page OCR runs on-device. Use a correctly read ISBN to request NDL title-correction candidates and compare them with existing metadata. The replacement title starts unselected; only selected fields are staged in the editor, and existing metadata changes only when you save. Search terms/ISBNs are sent to NDL; ISBN cover requests use openBD. Universal purchase scope The universal unlock removes reading limits on Mac, iPhone and iPad with the same Apple Account. It does not add another OS's exclusive features. The iOS unlock covers iPhone/iPad; adding Mac requires an active iOS unlock plus Upgrade to universal. Universal and legacy full-reading purchases can be restored. Mac Creator Tools (saving corrected images, batch export, eyedropper, etc.) is a separate purchase, not included in the reading unlock; it does not unlock reading by itself. Direct licenses, books, external-service fees and DRM removal are not included. Restoring purchases does not copy book files. Comparison: https://piktoo.com/emaki-ios/support-en#platform-differences Free limits and purchases Photos, videos, connections and bookshelf browsing are free. Read Aloud allows about 12,000 characters per text book before purchase. The one-time reading unlock covers app functions, not books or third-party content. Supported formats ZIP / CBZ, RAR / CBR (RAR4/5; WinRAR 7: unencrypted, single-volume, dictionary up to 256 MiB), 7z / CB7, PDF, JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, HEIC, WebP, AVIF, and more. Speech bubble translation Translate speech bubbles on-device with Apple frameworks. Images/text are not uploaded. Machine translation may miss handwriting or sound effects. Try the first 20 pages free. Support Piktoo Studio is an independent developer. Contact support@piktoo.com in English or Japanese. We reply in turn. Privacy No Emaki account, ads, usage analytics, or tracking. Reading history and connection details are stored on your device. When Sync Across Devices is on, viewing history, favorites, and bookmarks are stored in your iCloud and are not sent to the developer's servers. Komga integration syncs reading progress to the server you specify. Purchases and restoration use Apple In-App Purchase. Online shelves open provider links without importing book files or bypassing DRM. About the screenshots Screenshots show a self-made sample, "Give My Regards to Black Jack" by Shuho Sato (free secondary-use permission), and public-domain "Hokusai Manga" and "Choju-jinbutsu-giga."
