《Library Smash》 is a 3D work simulation game set in a Hong Kong school library. When the bell rings, large groups of students enter the library and all kinds of tasks begin to come in. You play as the school librarian and need to handle borrowing and returns, collect overdue fines, help students find books, shelve materials, provide photocopying and electronic resource services, and complete other library duties within a limited time. You also need to maintain order in the library, deal with lost property, handle equipment problems, and respond to unexpected situations. As more tasks come in, you need to decide what should be handled first. You must balance readers’ waiting times, efficiency and accuracy to keep the library running smoothly. Game Features • 30 progressively challenging timed levels Start with basic borrowing and returns, then move on to levels where several tasks happen across the library at the same time. As you progress, you will become familiar with circulation desk services, shelving, reader support, equipment maintenance and library management. The faster you complete your tasks and the fewer mistakes you make, the higher your star rating will be. Collect stars from all levels to unlock the endless mode, “Library Showdown”, where all types of tasks may appear at random within two minutes and fifteen seconds. • 41 different library tasks Complete a wide range of realistic library duties, including finding books, searching the library catalogue, shelf reading, detailed book searches and accurate shelving. You will also handle overdue and damaged books, process new arrivals, attach spine labels, cover books, arrange reservations, help students log in to the e-learning room, answer phone calls, lend stationery, reply to emails and instant messages, and put up posters. Other duties include processing periodicals, photocopying and faxing, managing e-readers, handling lost property and maintaining order in the library. • 3 modules with 8 interactive information literacy lessons Learn through game scenarios covering library rules, borrowing and return procedures, call numbers and shelving, catalogue searching, the CRAAP test for evaluating information, identifying AI-generated and digitally manipulated content, copyright, and digital citizenship. Each lesson includes scenario-based tasks, with immediate feedback and explanations to help students understand the key concepts. • Daily Challenges and Leaderboards Take part in daily timed challenges and compete on speed and decision-making within a single recess period. The leaderboard supports custom nicknames, making it suitable for classroom competitions and school activities. • A setting based on Hong Kong schools The game takes place in the fictional Heung Shing Secondary School Library. It recreates the circulation counter, bookshelves, reading area, computer area and common library procedures found in Hong Kong schools. The interface is available in Traditional Chinese and English, making the game suitable for classroom teaching, library activities and self-directed learning. Can you make it to the end of recess and finish every task?
