The Lobster App
Read full descriptionHide full description
The Lobster app is designed to make it easier to find gigs and music artists in your area, and discover new music. We want to give a platform for small and emerging artists to share their original music with an audience that loves discovering and supporting new music, live gigs and small venues. The App allows artists to upload their music and gig dates, and fans to play music and search for artists and gigs in their local area. The Lobster app also gives small and grassroots venues a platform to upload upcoming gigs. With so many smaller and grassroots venues closing and emerging artists increasingly fighting against algorithms and AI, we wanted to do something to try to protect the live music ecosystem. We want to keep creativity, pay on the door, special sticky floors, passion, seeing your mates band, merch on pub tables, community, personality, borrowing a spare mic and all the things that make these spaces and these artists so irreplaceable.
Soup Audio

Soup is a music-sharing community for unreleased tracks, demos, works in progress and finished music, shared one track at a time by the people making it. Listen without an account. Discover independent and underground artists in a chronological feed, switch to Random, or search for artists and tracks. Open artist notes, follow playback through Soup's close-moving waveform, and join public conversations. There are no public likes, popularity charts or recommendation algorithms deciding what you should hear. Create one Soup account to follow artists, keep private Saves, comment and upload your own music. Uploading is open to every verified account. Keep up to two tracks you own live at once, invite collaborators, add detailed music credits and choose whether comments or downloads are available. Collaborations owned by someone else do not use your track slots. Share any track directly with anyone on the web, or listen in the Soup iPhone app. Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Rooms are small communities around music. Create or follow Open and Curated Rooms, contribute tracks or suggest something to the owner, and discover what other people are sharing.
