Gouda is small enough to walk across in twenty minutes and old enough to have hidden something behind almost every gate. Gouda Now is the app that tells you which gate. WHAT'S ON, RIGHT NOW See every event in town in one calendar — from the famous Candlelight Night to festivals, markets, concerts and theatre. Multi-day festivals appear on every day they run, so you never think you have missed one. Tap any event to put it straight into your own phone calendar, address included. GPS AUDIO TOURS Four walking routes with 30 stops, and the story starts on its own as you arrive. No buttons, no group, no umbrella to follow. Walk the six-kilometre loop through the old town, or take the long one out past the Reeuwijk lakes. Available in all ten app languages. A STAMP CARD FOR THE CITY Seventeen places to collect, seven badges to earn, from First Step to Master of Gouda. No checking in and no QR codes — the app notices when you arrive. Phone in your pocket, stamp collected. WHEN YOU CANNOT DECIDE Press the dice and the app picks somewhere for you. Or check what is open right now, or sort every place by how far it is from where you stand — useful when you have twenty minutes before your train. 46 PLACES, ON A MAP Restaurants, cafés, museums and landmarks, with opening hours, ratings and one-tap navigation. Filter by category and see what is nearby. TEN LANGUAGES English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Polish and Portuguese — the audio tours too. FIVE MOODS Cheese gold, the stained glass of St. John's Church, green pasture, stroopwafel, or candlelight. The whole app changes colour with you. ONE MESSAGE A WEEK Every Friday at four, one notification with what is on this weekend. One a week, no more. FREE, NO ACCOUNT Download it and go. You can sign in — with Apple, if you like — but only if you want your favourites to follow you around. FOR LOCAL BUSINESSES Running something in Gouda?
