Just Transcribe turns your voice into text, entirely on your iPhone and iPad. No cloud. No account. No tracking. Your recordings never leave your device, because there is nowhere else for them to go. Most transcription apps quietly ship your audio off to a server. This one does not. The AI lives on your phone, so the moment you stop recording, the only copy in the world is already in your pocket. WHAT IT DOES Record live or import a file, pick how clever you want the AI to be, and read your words back as text. Follow along as it plays, fix the odd slip, see who said what, and boil an hour of talk down to the point. One job, done well, minding its own business. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Transcription, speaker recognition, voice memory and summaries all run on-device. Nothing is uploaded. • No account, no sign-up, no analytics, no third parties. • It goes online exactly once, to download a model. After that, nothing. • Delete any recording, transcript, voice or model whenever you like. Gone is gone. REMEMBERS WHO'S TALKING It tells speakers apart and labels every line, so an hour of meeting reads like a chat. Save someone's voice once, by reading a single sentence aloud, and the app names that person automatically in everything after. Voiceprints are learned on your device and never leave your phone. BOILED DOWN TO THE POINT A built-in AI reads your transcript and hands back the gist: a tidy summary, the bullet points, the decisions and the to-dos. On your phone like everything else, so not a word goes to the cloud. TEN ENGINES, ONE TAP APART Nine Whisper models plus NVIDIA's Parakeet v3, downloaded once and kept on your device: • Tiny, blink and it is done. Just do not be shocked when "good morning" comes out as "banana". • Base, the sensible one. Reliable, unremarkable, the Toyota Corolla of transcription. • Large v3 Turbo, the finest there is. Your phone whispers a quiet prayer, then absolutely delivers. ...plus Small, the English-only Distil pair and the rest of the Large line. SMARTER BY THE WORD Long recordings split on natural pauses, not blind 30-second blocks: fewer errors, fewer invented words, often faster. Tell it how many people were talking and speaker detection sharpens right up. SPEAKS YOUR LANGUAGE Fifty languages, from Dutch and English to Arabic, Hindi and Chinese. Leave it on Automatic, or pin it for the sharpest result. The app itself now speaks Dutch, German and Spanish too. FOLLOW ALONG AS IT PLAYS Press play and the words light up in sync. Tap any line to jump to that moment. Fix a name, tidy the punctuation, find and replace across the whole transcript in one go. IN THE CAR, ON YOUR WRIST • CarPlay: start a recording from your car's screen, hands on the wheel. It is waiting on your iPhone when you stop. • Apple Watch: record from your wrist or its widget, then transcribe on the bigger screen. STAYS ORGANISED Import wav, mp3, m4a, aiff and more. Group into folders. Search by title or by the words inside any transcript. Copy, share, or export as SRT or VTT subtitles, PDF or plain text, speaker labels and all. FREE TO START, ONE HONEST PRICE Download it for nothing and start transcribing. Tiny and Base, all fifty languages, folders, search, the lot. Free for good, not a trial. When you want the sharp end of it, that is Pro: every bigger model, follow along, speaker recognition with voice memory, on-device summaries, audio enhancement, editing, subtitle and PDF export, CarPlay and Apple Watch. One payment, the once. No subscription. No ads. No account. Made by one person in the Netherlands, for anyone who reckons their voice should stay theirs. Just Transcribe. Yes, the period is part of the name.
