Ingredient Scanner
Read full descriptionHide full description
Aindly is a personalised food and ingredient scanner that helps you understand whether a product fits your preferences. Scan a barcode or photograph an ingredient label to receive clear feedback based on the ingredients that matter to you. Aindly highlights possible watch-outs, positive signals, ingredients you are tracking, and information that could not be confirmed. There is no one-size-fits-all product score. Your results are based on your own preferences and watchlists. FOOD & DRINK SCANNER Scan packaged food and drink products while shopping or at home. Aindly can help you identify and track ingredients such as added sugars, dairy, caffeine, alcohol-related ingredients, seed oils, additives, and other ingredients you choose to monitor. Instead of simply labelling a product as good or bad, Aindly explains why particular ingredients may or may not fit your preferences. PERSONALISED INGREDIENT PREFERENCES Choose what matters to you and create your own ingredient watchlists. Your preferences can include: Ingredients you want to avoid Ingredients you want to monitor Ingredients you are actively looking for Food and drink concerns Custom ingredients Food preferences are separate from optional personal-care and skin preferences, so you can use Aindly purely as a food scanner. CLEAR PRODUCT FEEDBACK Each scan provides a plain-language result organised into clear sections: Possible watch-outs for you Positive signals based on your preferences Ingredients on your personal watchlists Missing or uncertain product information Open an ingredient card to understand why an ingredient was highlighted and what it may mean for your preferences. BARCODE & INGREDIENT-LABEL SCANNING Scan a product barcode when information is available. When barcode information is missing or incomplete, photograph the printed ingredient list instead. Aindly can read the label and analyse the available ingredient information directly. PRODUCT HISTORY Review products you have previously scanned and return to their personalised feedback at any time. Browse your activity as a recent list or use the calendar view to see what you scanned on a particular day. Your history can include food, drinks, skincare, cosmetics, and other personal-care products. SKINCARE & COSMETIC SCANNER Aindly also supports skincare, makeup, haircare, and cosmetic products. Check personal-care ingredient lists against optional preferences such as sensitive skin, acne-prone skin, dryness, oiliness, redness, fragrance preferences, and custom cosmetic ingredient watchlists. Personal-care scanning is an additional feature and does not need to be enabled to use Aindly for food and drinks. OPTIONAL SKIN NOTES Users who want to track personal-care products can record quick skin notes alongside their product history. Review notes such as breakout, redness, dryness, irritation, oiliness, or clear skin within the calendar. These notes are designed to help you notice possible patterns and do not establish that a particular product or ingredient caused a change. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your preferences, watchlists, product history, and optional skin notes are stored on your phone. Aindly is designed to keep your personal product activity under your control. Product information may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. Always check the physical packaging, particularly when managing allergies, intolerances, or medical conditions. Aindly does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, allergy-safety certification, or treatment guidance. Ingredient feedback is provided for general wellness and personal product awareness only. Myredient tells you what is actually in your food. Scan a product barcode or photograph an ingredient label, and Myredient breaks down every additive and ingredient inside — filtered to the dietary preferences you set. A VERDICT MADE FOR YOU Set your dietary preferences once — vegan, vegetarian, palm-oil-free, added sugar, seed oils, and more — and every scan gives you a personalized verdict: a clear, at-a-glance read on how a product fits what you care about, instead of a wall of unfamiliar chemical names. Myredient points out what to look at; it does not certify that a product fits your diet. WHAT MYREDIENT FLAGS Myredient cross-references each ingredient against a curated database of food additives and E-numbers, plus entries for oils and industrial sweeteners. It surfaces: - Artificial colors such as Red 40, Yellow 5, and titanium dioxide - Preservatives including sodium benzoate, sulfites, nitrites, and parabens - Flavor enhancers and sweeteners such as MSG, aspartame, sucralose, high-fructose corn syrup, and maltodextrin - Emulsifiers and thickeners such as carrageenan and lecithins - Refined seed and hydrogenated oils REGULATED DIFFERENTLY AROUND THE WORLD For each additive, Myredient shows how official regulators treat it — permitted, allowed only under specific conditions (a maximum level or a mandatory warning), or banned — across the United States, European Union, Canada, and Japan. Each status comes straight from the regulators' own registers: the EU additives register (Regulation 1333/2008), the US FDA's Substances Added to Food, Health Canada's permitted-additive lists, and Japan's MHLW lists. Every flag cites its source — you see the facts, not a score. ASK A FOLLOW-UP (PRO) Have a question the scan doesn't cover? Open any result and ask in your own words — what an additive is, why it is used, how it fits a specific diet, or what cleaner alternatives exist. Answers are clearly labelled as AI-generated general information, not medical or regulatory advice. SAVED FOR LATER Every scan is kept in your history, so you can revisit a product or compare options without scanning again. HOW IT WORKS 1. Scan a barcode, or photograph the ingredient label with the camera. 2. Myredient identifies the product and parses its ingredient list. 3. Additives and possible preference conflicts are flagged, each with a plain-language explanation of what it is and what it does. PRIVACY Your dietary preferences stay on your device, and ingredient matching runs locally. Product information is retrieved from public food databases including Open Food Facts and USDA. WHO IT IS FOR - Anyone avoiding specific additives, dyes, or preservatives - Parents checking snacks and drinks for artificial colors - People following specific diets such as vegan, vegetarian, or palm-oil-free - Shoppers who want to understand ultra-processed ingredients SUBSCRIPTION Myredient Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription — monthly or annual — that adds AI ingredient summaries and the follow-up questions you can ask about any scan, on top of the free regulatory checks. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel anytime in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
