PingWeather is the weather alert app for people who need more than a daily forecast. Instead of checking the weather constantly, let PingWeather monitor conditions and notify you only when they match your personal rules. CREATE CUSTOM ALERT RULES Set precise thresholds for any weather condition: temperature, precipitation chance, wind speed, UV index, humidity, visibility, and more. Choose "above," "below," or "between" comparisons to fine-tune exactly when you want to be alerted. SMART NOTIFICATION CONTROL Never get spammed again. Define time windows for when alerts are active, set maximum notifications per hour and per day, enforce minimum intervals between alerts, and configure quiet hours so you only hear from us when it matters. DUAL WEATHER ENGINE Powered by Apple WeatherKit with automatic Open-Meteo fallback. If one data source goes down, the other takes over seamlessly so you never miss a critical alert. PRIORITY LEVELS Assign Normal, High, or Critical priority to each rule. Critical alerts can break through Do Not Disturb so you always see the most important weather updates. KEY FEATURES - Unlimited custom alert rules (Pro) - 9 weather condition types to monitor - Smart time window and quiet hour controls - Frequency caps to prevent notification spam - Dual data source for reliability - Priority-based alert system - Background weather monitoring - Notification health dashboard - Location-based alerts - iCloud sync across devices (Pro) FREE VS PRO Free: Up to 3 alert rules, 1 location, 7-day history Pro: Unlimited rules, unlimited locations, full history, iCloud sync, and more SUBSCRIPTION INFORMATION: - Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. - Subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. - You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store after purchase. - Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription.

Show your country pride. FlagPole helps you create beautiful widgets for your home screen and provides authoritative information on flag etiquette. Two things, done with care. A FLAG WORTH PUTTING ON YOUR PHONE • Build a widget in the Studio and choose your flag: today's 50-star Classic, Betsy Ross's ring of thirteen (1777), the Star-Spangled Banner (1814), the 48-star flag, or a weathered classic. • Every flag is rendered true to history: correct stripes, star patterns, and proportions, in the deep brick red and navy a real flag has. AN ALMANAC THAT KNOWS THE CALENDAR • FlagPole tracks all eighteen federal flag-flying days — from Flag Day and Independence Day to Patriot Day and Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. • It shows you when the flag flies full-staff and when it comes down to half-staff, including the Memorial Day half-staff-until-noon rule that most people miss. • It knows the difference between Memorial Day and Veterans Day, so you never have to guess. • Turn on flag-day reminders and FlagPole tells you the morning of. GET IT RIGHT, WITH THE RULE TO BACK IT UP • Every etiquette tip is grounded in the U.S. Flag Code. • When to raise it, when to light it for night display, when it comes down to half-staff, and how to keep it serviceable. • FlagPole gives you the correct answer, not a vibe. Verdict
PingWeather and FlagPole are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. PingWeather sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and FlagPole sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
